Hello, I am new here and I need some help. I am trying to book a 3* hotel near Miami airport (according to priceline, it's the best deal. cheapest location since it's near the airport) from 11th June to 15th June. I have been trying to bid up to 54, but still unsuccessful.

My question is, is June still too far away from now? should I start to bid next month? because I looked up in hotwire trip planner and it says hotel in Florida is the cheapest during June. Can you please give me some suggestions? I saw some people posting they managed to get 3* hotel near airport for only $45 this month. Thank you

Welcome to BetterBidding :)

You're saying "near Miami airport", for which zone are you bidding?

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am bidding the miami international airport zone.

What is your budgett/night for this stay?

Yellowdog.

I am hoping to get it for around 55 per night, excluding taxes and fees. Do you think I should wait for next month and start bidding? or should I bid as soon as possible?

Thanks.

You would think June would not be the cheapest month in Florida being it is summer...but, I could be wrong.

You are definitely not bidding too early being that there are bids on the board already for August 2010. I wouldn't stress it if I were you...you have plenty of time to bid over again. Try using the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins to see if there is anything booked for your dates. Also use hotwire as a crutch and try bidding 15-20% off their rate.

If you don't get what you want, you can always wait until next month to see if anything changes.

thank you for your reply. That's what i first thought. June should not be the cheapest month as most people will be having holiday during that time of the year. However, HOTWIRE trip planner says otherwise.

The calendar of wins results are mostly in the orlando area. hmms. I guess I will keep on trying. :) :)

I won the Miami Airport Wyndham 3.5* for $45 a night. The dates of lodging are June 27 -July 2, 2010. This is something to consider.

thanks for all your reply guys. It will definitely be helpful in my making my decision later on. :) :)

HI guys, i would like to follow up this thread. I have eventually bought the hotel through priceline. From 11-13th I bid $56, and i get crowne plaza miami airport. for the 14th-15th, I bid $51, and i get marriott miami airport. In both cases, i select 3.5 stars hotel and Miami international airport for the criteria.

Hope it helps! :o
