Priceline Hotel: 3* NYC (MSG-Convention) The Ramada New Yorker

I've been trying to bid for a few weeks now and haven't been able to get it accepted. Travel dates are 4/22-4/27 for either a 3.5 or 4* hotel in MTW, MTE CPS, or TS. Is it because of my length of stay that this is getting rejected? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I've tried up to $150 for 3.5 and 4 star in CPS, Chelsea, MTE, MTW, and Times Square. (I only have a week left :) )

If you're up to your limit there is not too much more you can do, but is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

I think you may be successful with your current budget if you're willing to divide your stay between two different hotels. If not, i think another $10-$15 may be enough to win this complete stay.

Splitting up my trip was a great idea! Thanks for the advice. Here's what I ended up trying/winning (using the PRICELINE link on this site).

Entire trip 4/22/2010-4/27/2010.

Split 4/22-4/25 and 4/25-4/27.

4/22/-4/25

Tried $115 for 3.5* and up MTW, MTE, CPS =FAILED

Tried $126 for 3.5* and up MTW, MTE, CPS, Chelsea, MSG =FAILED

Tried $146 (saw someone who got the Westin for this price) for 3* and up MTW, MTE, CPS, Chelsea, MSG, Times Square=WON The New Yorker (In MSG). I think The New Yorker is now considered a 3* which is probably why I didn't get the price someone else got on the "Calendar of Wins" for $126. Nuts. At least it's close to the subway station so I can take that from the JFK airport and not have to cab it and sit in traffic.

Aprroximately $530 for 3 days after taxes and fees.

4/25-4/27

Tried $85 for 3* and up in MTW, MTE, CPS, Times Square =WON The Manhattan (Sheraton) (in Times Square).

Approximately $210 for 2 days after taxes and fees.

Overall it was $740 total for 5 nights which is not bad at all for New York and I don't mind moving hotels once since that means I'll be closer to new tourist attractions and won't have to cab it everywhere. Thanks again for the tip! I'll definitely be checking back here again when I plan another trip!
