Hotwire Hotel: 5/4-5/11 5* South Strip

I have been a long term lurker and always enjoyed this website so thanks for this resource. In return, I use the links.

I have only ever used Priceline and not Hotwire, but have been looking for 5/4-5/11.

On Hotwire, the blind hotel part, it comes up at $119 with 3 amenities - fitness centre pool restaurant - but it states that reviews are coming soon.

I have noticed that if you go through the whole vacation thing, and select 1 person from LAX to LAS and the room variables, it comes up at $719 incl all fees and taxes total for these dates, which obviously is cheaper and at least I know what I am getting.

I assume I am booking 2 separate things and if I don't make the flight, the hotel res is still good? The hotel rom would be for 2, but obviously the flights are cheaper if I just state 1, given they will be wasted.

Thanks for using the links on the board for your purchases... it would also be appreciated if you begin to share your purchases with the board so that the information can best help other users.

Regarding your situation above, i would think you'd be fine not using the air portion of your ticket and only using the hotel portion. However, note that you're then booking the hotel for only one person, and if you'll actually be two, there could be an additional charge for the occupancy more than you booked. I wouldn't think this is likely, but mention it in the "what could go wrong" column.
