Priceline Hotel: Question about NYC P/L hotels

Was reading up on HOTWIRE, and I remember reading something about the hotel bid a client won ended up not having a full bathroom in the room. Is there any risk of that in reality for PRICELINE (or even HOTWIRE, I suppose)? I'm looking for the cheapest possible option for my trip to New York this weekend but I don't want to end up with a hotel that has community bathrooms.

While I don't remember any instances of hotels with shared bathrooms coming up on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE in NYC, I think that it is a possibility at the 1*/2* level in NYC. Bidding at the 2* and under level in NYC is generally not recommended.

Wasn't this about the Belleclaire Hotel (3*) that can be booked through Hotwire via Hotels.com? I remember when I searched for our stay that this hotel appeared in the hotel list, with shared bathrooms.
