greyhoundmom Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Hi - I was trying for a 4* only. Ideally, I wanted Central Park South but when I didn't get that at $140, I dropped my bid and went to MTE.Bidding Strategy:$110 CPS - rejected$120 Add Upper East (no 4*) - rejected$130 Add Chelsea (no 4*) - rejected$140 Add MSG (no 4*) - rejected$125 Add MTE - accepted!Ended up with the Grand Hyatt in MTE. $125.00 bid accepted - total $156.93 with all taxes. I've never stayed here, but it's a great price for a 4* in a great location. If anyone has any parking tips - I'd appreciate it!Of course, I started by using the PRICELINE link on this site. Thanks!
yellowdog Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.PS. I can't help you with the parking.
greyhoundmom Posted April 13, 2010 Author Report Posted April 13, 2010 Thanks!Since parking at the hotel is so high and I'll be going right past Secaucus Train Station on my way, I think I am going to park there (it's only $16 for 24 hours) and take the train in. This way I don't have to deal with driving into NY or the super high parking fees.
