irrezistible Posted May 27, 2010 Author Report Posted May 27, 2010 I had a wonderful stay at the Doubletree, the outdoor pool is amazing (from the looks of it, didn't have enough time to utilize it). Micro/fridge is an extra $10/night plus tax. This is cheaper than what I was expecting. I was told it was $15/night when I phoned in before we left home. Now here is the tricky part, I was told none of the standard rooms comes equipped with micro/fridge. I was expecting they will wheel them up when you request it...but they were already equipped in the room when we walked in.. So I think, if you are lucky, you might be placed in one of these micro/fridge equipped rooms without having to pay for it. We opted out the $13/night parking fee by parking in a residential area about a block away :)I had mixed feelings about the front desk staff. During check-in, I tried to slip a 20 between my credit card and id hoping for complimentary parking, micro, and fridge. He said oh oops, and gave it back as if I had put it there by mistake. Not only later did I find out that he also put in the computer that we had two vehicles. This would have cost us $13/night x2 vehicle. Good thing we cancelled early.
AaronJB Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Glad to hear that you had a mostly good stay at this property! :)
