galdang Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 I tried to get a room in Palo Alto, going up to $60 for a 3* (which last year turned out to be the Courtyard), and $75 for a 3.5*.After failing for over a week, I learned from another poster (scroll down to Mr. Sparky's post from last week) and went for a 2.5* in Mountain View. No luck at $40 (his bid), so I added Palo Alto and got it for $45.This Residence Inn is just a mile or so south of the Courtyard in Palo Alto, and should work out just fine. And of course I used the PRICELINE link at the top right of this page...

nsrao98 Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 Hi Galdang,Can you please confirm if the hotel you won is the following?Residence Inn Palo Alto Mountain View, 1854 El Camino Real WestMountain View, CA 94040If so it is really a bargain. I am also looking for similar property in Palo Alto area.Regards,nsrao98
galdang Posted April 14, 2010 Author Report Posted April 14, 2010 Hi nsrao98, yes it is. I think it should work out quite well, as it is isn't far from Palo Alto. If you bid in Palo Alto and get the Courtyard (3*), it's only 1.7 miles north. Of course, if you bid in Mountain View you might also get one of those properties along 85 and El Camino, such as Hotel Zico.
