Hi!

I need to book accommodation in London for 4 people from May 1st to May 5th.

Can you please help me with a strategy for priceline? I can 2 two rooms and pay $100 (ideally) to $140 per room and would like no lower than 4* hotel, I'm scared of falling into a 3* dump.

Thank you!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Which zone(s) in London are you willing to accept? Is $140 your maximum bid price or 'all-in' price (including taxes and fees)? If all-in, what is your maximum bid price?

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

Let us know the above and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Hi,

You may want to consider splitting your stay if changing hotels isn't too inconvenient. Weekends are usually less expensive than weeknights. You could try the weekend first and then attempt to use the "extend your stay" feature.

I'm staying almost the same dates as you and won the Marriott Kensington for $98+fees/night for Apr 30, May 1 and 2... but couldn't find a similar good deal for May 3 and 4. I tried to extend my stay but it was offered at $155/night which I declined. I ended up with Holiday Inn Regents Park at $120+fees/night.

I would also start bidding soon - if you care about what zone you are in and want to bid for 4* hotels, there are no free re-bids that I could find. So you may have wait 24 hours between bids.

Hope this helps.
