mickcur Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Could I please request a bidding strategy for a Resort rating hotel in the Waikiki beach area. Arrival 05/26/10 depart 06/04/10. We would like to keep our maximum bid at this time at $100. We haven't bid for a zone with resort level before, so could someone confirm that rebidding is the same for resort level? ie all other zones without a resort level hotel (including those with 5*) are a rebid zone? If this is correct, I make it that we have 5 rebid zones...Diamond head/Exec Centre/Honolulu airport/Waianae/Waikiki City Central. Many thanks and regards,Michael
thereuare Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 5* hotels are considered to be higher rated than Resort properties, so zone(s) with 5* hotels are not re-bid zones when bidding for a Resort class property. However, the only zone currently with 5* rates hotels is the Waikiki Beach zone which you're bidding, so the zones you've listed above are all re-bid zones when seeking a Resort hotel in the Waikiki Beach zone (but always double check just before bidding)Using your FIVE re-bid zones...Select Resort Waikiki Beach...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $105You can stop at $100 if you'd like, but i want up to $105 since if you make it that far, it could be the difference between success/failure as we've seen quite a few wins at $105 after failing at $100.Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes.
