Hotwire has followed Priceline's lead and split the Greater Downtown zone in Portland, OR into Downtown and South Waterfront. The Avalon Hotel and Spa is in the South Waterfront zone; all other reported hotels in the old Greater Downtown zone are in the new Downtown zone.

Also, the Red Lion in the Airport PDX zone has been downgraded to 2.5* on Hotwire.

When I was bidding Philadelphia hotels on Priceline this week, I noted that the Philadelphia (Gloucester - Runnemede - Deptford) zone's highest level is now just 2.5*, so that zone is now a rebid option when bidding 3*s in Philadelphia, very good news as the city had no free rebid options at 3* previously.

The Sheraton Crescent Center (Metrocenter) has been downgraded to 3*.

Over the past few months, Priceline has upgraded many Holiday Inn Express hotels from 2* to 2.5*, and now it appears that they're doing the same with the Fairfield Inn chain. Here are two that have been upgraded, and I'm sure that others will find more:
