ravinia
Tried $41, got counteroffer for $12 more. Added a rebid zone and $2, for a total with tax and fees of $55.67. Hyatt web had prepay rate of $82.20, so it seemes the place should be pretty quiet. Somewhere I heard that Saturdaycheck-in is problematic; not this time!Bid via 'Barn. Link to comment

ravinia
Turns out the place was fairly jumping with "Soxfest". Front desk clerks dressed like "Sox" and signs advising you to open your bag for "security search" AKA Case'o'beer inspection. They didn't check us, could've smuggled in a bottle of Belgian ale undetected! Overheard elevator discussion revealed that the "Sox" rates were one hundred and plenty dollars a night.Don't know if those were cancellable; if so, with the crummy weather, may explain the last minute Priceline availability. We have our eyes on some busy dates this year that we were thinking about either staying home or imposing on friends or relatives, or putting up with crummy suburban motels. This Saturday checkin success means we might give Priceline a try. We'll add review soon; like restaurants, best to have a few visits before sharing. Link to comment
