texasmackey
I have been reading some posts and have some questions regarding the hotels listed in the hotwire/priceline lists.First, Hotwire does not list as Resorts? Only as high as 4*?Second, Hotwire hotels only posts 3 4* hotels in the downtown disney area. The Dolphin/Swan and the Hilton? So, do you think it is only these three? I saw some previous posts about a Wyndham and a Hyatt Cypress, etc.. But these are not on the Hotwire Hotel List for Disney Downtown/Buena Vista. Just the three hotels listed above.Lastly, is there any way to get the Dolphin/Swan for sure? I mean, I understand opaque bidding etc.. but it appears that no one has posted this hotel lately at all, but Hotwire Hotel lists only shows them as 4*. I mean also other than just going direct.Priceline shows them as RESORT level and lists about seven that you could end up at. This includes the Disney downtown and Championsgate area combined. So, what I am really after is EXACTLY what hotels are coming up on HOTWIRE for 4* in Disney Downtown. Like I said, the posted list only shows three hotels in this category. But people seem to be posting others, unless these hotels have been removed recently.Thanks. Any help would be great.texasmackey Link to comment
texasmackey
I am going to go the bidding route rather than Hotwire, since everything else around disney is so $$. So, I was wondering, since I am seeing some really good hotels come up right now, like Gaylord Palms and Hyatt Cypress, I was wondering when I should give this a shot.Or, does Priceline not even get rooms this far in advance? Our dates of stay is Monday Nov. 20th, thru Thursday Nov 23 (THanksgiving)We are checking out on Thurs. Thanks Link to comment
dianev
It never hurts to try at anytime as long as you keep your bids low and dont bid any higher then you would want to pay this early... Link to comment

texasmackey
Thanks guys. New to this and trying to figure out how you guys can figure out which hotels they might be. The list is confusing to the newbies, perhaps someone who runs the board can retype the list. Maybe. Thanks again.Still trying to figure out when to bid for Thanksgiving.Kristen Link to comment
thereuare
When to bid is addressed in the related link in our PRICELINE FAQI'm not sure what you find confusing about the hotel lists, but if you have a better way to present the date we're willing to listen (although the current format, which has evolved since our beginnings, seems to work pretty good and i'm not sure how re-typing will help matters).Let us know when you are ready to bid, the zones you are willing to accept, and your maximum bid... we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.
