Priceline Hotel: 4 Weeks in Miami Downtown 4* Thoughts?

Any thoughts on getting a spectacular deal on a 4* in Zones 2 or 6 (Downtown and Coral Gables) Miami for about 4 weeks: mid-June through mid-July?

I usually stay with in-laws, but if I could get about 100 a night, it might be worth it!

This could work. Hotwire has a 4* Coral Gables for $89 for a random range of dates mid-Jun to mid July. You can play with the dates a bit, and if you see something you like you can get an informed guess from here as to what hotel it might be. You need to post back specific offer including the amenities, rate, dates and whether you used the 2 adult default or something else.

For Priceline, you can start your bidding a bit lower than what you see on Hotwire - just in case you can find an even better bargain.

For both Priceline and Hotwire, you might also explore breaking up the full stay into 2 to 4 shorter ones. Hotwire seems to be better than Priceline about averaging prices, but longer spans can run into problems in both of them.

When comparing the two, be aware that Hotwire can be a little more generous with stars than Priceline is. Thus, the 4* Hotwire might be more like a 3.5* Priceline. Not necessarily so, but sometimes.

If your budget allows, IMHO it is a grand plan.
