al-canada
Hi all --I've made a booking on Priceline (Name your Own Price) and I've had to cancel my trip. I know I can't cancel the booking for a refund (I have travel insurance so not concerned) but should I let the hotel know I will not be coming, or does it not matter?First time this has happened -- hopefully last! Thanks. thereuare
You don't have to, but if you're 100% certain that you won't be arriving, you can call to let them know so they have an opportunity to re-sell the room. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. vanpoodle
It looks like I won't be able to get to one of my bookings due to a work issue. So no insurance. I know it's not cancellable, and am PRETTY SURE it's not transferable. Should I call PRICELINE or the hotel to let them know we can't make it? Link to comment
AaronJB
PRICELINE reservations cannot be cancelled or transferred. However, in terms of the latter, there have been some instances of users reporting over the years they have been able to work something out with the hotel and/or PRICELINE (it generally involved back-and-forth calling one and the other) - it's worth trying, but generally does not work.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
