Priceline Hotel: 4 rooms 4*-3/12-3/14 Hollywood, CA

I have used priceline quite a bit. I actually already have reservations with the W for that weekend. I booked directly through them for $165 for each room which is really good. However, we are going to need another room and that rate is not available, and it jumps up quite a bit after that so I thought i would try to bid.I can cancel with them up to 24 hours before. I would really like to stay at the W but the Roosevelt would be fine. On hotwire, the only one popping up is the roosevelt right now so i dont know if that means that the W is pretty full right now or what the odds are of me getting the W for 4 rooms on priceline is. Any thoughts? Is it harder to bid with multiple rooms?

That $165 at W is a really good rate, especially since the lowest price now is $329.

How many rooms do you have reserved at $165? How many additional rooms do you need?

I agree the 4* showing on HOTWIRE looks like the Roosevelt, at $188.

I have 3 rooms reserved now and need one additional room. I emailed the W to ask if they will honor that same rate.

Maybe you want to wait for W's response before you move forward.

Or do you want to try for a lower rate on PRICELINE now even if W will give you all four rooms at $165?

their lowest rate now is over $300 so I am thinking about bidding. It makes me nervous but it's way too much money so I will probably move forward with bidding. Is it harder to get low rates with more rooms? I would think it would be better but I have no idea

The rate is the same if you buy one room or three, if available.

My suggested bidding range for 4* in Hollywood is around $110-$140 or so. Someone can give a more detailed bid strategy if you want. Could be Roosevelt too.

yes, I had used to the link from betterbidding to get my winning bid of $122. I am sorry I did not repsond to this sooner. I ended up getting my extra room for $215 through the W so I did not have to bid. Thanks for everyone's feedback!
