paulbur02
I plan on taking a trip from february 2- february 5th to california and want to stay in a hotel in the huntington/newport beach area. is it better to bid for a hotel (and possibly rental car) on priceline closer to the day i will be staying (ie a month or few weeks before) to get the best rate or is it just as good to bid ahead of time? also, does anyone have a link to a guide that's EASY to understand on how to get multiple bids in less than 24 hours on priceline (i watched some youtube videos and they were not descriptive enough, since i've only bid (and won) a hotel on priceline once). any advice is greatly appreciated!!!! :) Link to comment
AaronJB
This link provides an explanation of priceline re-bidding.There is no way to know whether or not rates will increase closer to your dates, but if traffic is high or a convention (or other event is occurring), rates could go up suddenly. If you are ready to bid, I'd start bidding now. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links. Link to comment
paulbur02
bid on priceline, won for $60 a night (right on the beach). didnt try too hard at bidding (probably could have saved a few bucks) but tried a few weeks ago and lost with a $70 bid. So I started and just put in $60 for the heck of it and got this beauty of a hotel. I'm happy... Link to comment
