glenninflorida
Good deal gurus:Any strategies for a 4* San Diego (Downtown-Harbor Island) avoiding the Westgate.I'm staying from 7/11 - 7/17 for a large conference at the convention center and would love to get the Hyatt Manchester for under $100 (the Omni will work also for under $100).Is bidding for Sat night 7/11 only, seeing what I get, and trying to extend extra days (hopefully that gets offered) a good way to go?Thanks! AaronJB
You could bid and (hope) that you are allowed to extend your stay, or you could look at HOTWIRE. HOTWIRE may be a bit more expensive, but would allow you to have a better chance to narrowing down which hotel you may get. HOTWIRE would be the better choice if you really don't want a particular hotel. Is there anything showing on HOTWIRE for these dates of interest? Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links. thereuare
Is bidding for Sat night 7/11 only, seeing what I get, and trying to extend extra days (hopefully that gets offered) a good way to go?This won't work...Even if the offer to "add a nite" is offered, you can only try to add the number of nites up to the number of nites of your original purchase... so if you purchase one nite, you will only be able to add one extra nite to the stay (not six)There is no way to avoid a particular hotel in the zone when bidding on PRICELINE. If there is a hotel you're trying to avoid/not willing to accept, HOTWIRE may be a better, yet slightly more expensive, option.Let us know you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Flockster
Any strategies for a 4* San Diego (Downtown-Harbor Island) avoiding the Westgate. What is wrong with the Westgate? Just got it for 70$/ night (see Priceline San Diego Westgate Hotel)Probably wouldn't do another bid, but like to know for curiosity...Thanks, Flockster Link to comment
glenninflorida
Thank you.It appears Hotwire recently revised the San Diego map so IDing may take some guesswork. Should I start a new thread in the Hotwire Forum? Link to comment
