whenpigsfly
We are going to be doing the last tow nights of our florida vacation in Orlando and I am looking for ideas on favorite properties that people have stayed at that I can look at targeting off of hotwire. Our first three nights are in Orlando booked conventionally at the Holiday in Orange Lake resort in a 2 bedroom condo (booked conventionally at a GREAT rate) then were in Melbourne for the weekend and then back in Orlando for Sunday and Monday night. Its my wife and I and our 25 yr old daughter and her 8 yr old son.We are probably going to do Disney on the first part of the trip so it would not be esscential to stay near Disney but were not opposed to it either. So any favs in the Orlando area we should try and target? We'd like the facilities to be nice for the kid to enjoy and be able to burn up some energy maybe nice pools.thanks in advance. I think a better approach is to search HOTWIRE and then try to identify the hotels which are offered and determine if any of them are suitable/meet your needs... better to analyze what's offered than to hope for a hotel which may never appear. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. whenpigsfly
Well I need to edit to say 6-7 6-9 Its only for the last two days of our stay I'm looking.I don't know if I'd call it a futile exercise. Many out here have experience and from their good experience (or otherwise) I might be able learn something or look for a particular set of amenities based on another users recommendation of a propertyWere looking at hotiwre and keeping our minds open to booking conventionally if the right offer or price comes up. Also Connsidering bidding priceline in the resort category since but I have to do a little more research on tripadvisor to see if any are just so so properties.I was just polling to see if any favorites of people who frequent the board or might have won in this area or properties of value or quality to look for in particular. (57 come up on hotwire) Link to comment

JaxJaguar
I was able to get a 3.5* in the Disney area (Royal Plaza) for $55 for Sunday, 5/31. It is off of exit 68 and very close to Disney. I think it is actually a Disney hotel. I had not heard of it before I bid (and won). Good Luck on your efforts. Link to comment
