prea
Just did some research and it seems to match The South Point, is that right?Any comments about this Hotel? Thanks again! Link to comment
yellowdog
Yes, best guess for this would be South Point. Can't comment on the rooms. But the hotel is very nice.I'm looking at your dates. And i belive you budget for a strip hotel is to low for the moment to hit a 4* at PRICELINE. But since you have car. Take a look at the 4* hotel in Henderson - SE Las Vegas $59. It's reported as the Green Valley Ranch, looks like terrific value. And you can park free at most self-park casino hotels at the strip when going there.Hope this helps.Yellowdog. Link to comment
prea
Thanks, Yellowdog!I'll take a look at that...I'll let you know when I decide to take some action.Regards Link to comment
prea
I've seen in some reviews on TA that a $25.99/nt/rm resort fee applies on Green Valley Ranch Resort.Does anyone know if that's true, and if it is an extra cost besides the Hotel Rate and Taxes on Hotwire? Thanks! Link to comment
slick_gd
The Green Valley Ranch site lists the resort fee as $24.99/night, and yes, resort fees are typically in addition to the HOTWIRE rates. Link to comment
prea
Yellowdog, I've done some research and I'm very inclined to take this offer on the Green Valley Ranch.I've learned that they charge a $25/day Resort Fee, but still $85 seems a good deal for that Resort. And it seems I won't get a 5* on the strip for that rate anyway (at least not for now). What I'd still like to know is regarding the parking at the strip.... These self-park casino hotels with free parking that you told me about, could you give me some exemples? Thanks Link to comment

MikeJHU2000
My wife and I have stayed at GVR before and a rental car is easy to use to get to the strip. Most casinos with self-park do not charge. Even those that have valet parking often don't charge for the Valet beyond a tip. I believe this was the case at Luxor, Wynn, and some others when we were last there with a car. GVR is one of the nicest places to stay in Vegas, IMO. I love the Wynn, but the rooms at GVR are "prettier" for lack of a better word. I don't think you'd be disappointed. The GVR casino seems to be frequented by a lot of locals from my time there. The dealers were always friendly as well. Also, if you stay there, you can check out the District at GVR right across the street. It's full of shopping and restaurants, including one place I remember as having very good pizza. Link to comment
