thereuare
This is notoriously a tough zone.At the 2.5* and 3* levels you have one re-bid, at 2* you don't have any. This is how i would bid:Select 3* and MDW...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $60.If rejected close browser and re-access Priceline however you did previously.Select 2.5* and MDW...Bid $47, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $60.If rejected close browser and re-access Priceline however you did previously.Select 2* and MDW and bid $40.If all fails you can go with the Hotwire offer.Let us know how it goes. BestValue
Thank you, it worked! I wasn`t able to get the MDW area, I followed your advise. I was surprised to get the North River area (usually more expensive) on rebid with MDWCongratulations, you got your price of $47 for a 2 Link to comment
BestValue
Any suggestions on parking? The hotel provides valae parking at $33 and self parking at $20.50. Link to comment
thereuare
Sounds like this worked out ok for you, even though you didn't add a bonafide re-bid zone. There was an a 'true' re-bid zone available, not sure if you tried that first or not. If you need assistance on how to figure out your re-bid zones feel free to ask.All is well that ends well, and you seemed pleased with the results. If you're touring the city this probably works out much better for you since ORD is somewhat of a haul from the metro part of the Chicago. BestValue
Yes, I got in a rush and did not do the proper homework on re-bid zones. I usually go to each zone separately to make sure it doesn`t have the star rating I am bidding. In this case, I improperly thought I had little worry because of the high priced downtown district compared to the MDW airport.I did end up with a bargin, but I still was planning on the airport location. Your site provides good advise, I plan to use it more carefully. Thanks. Link to comment
