joecal
I just followed the steps that others recommened previously since I intended to target on Fourpoints by Sheraton, Emeryville.I also considered to go for Doubletree Marina in the beginning due to its location and overall quality. But the real photos of the guest room seemed less attractive than Fourpoints. So I decided to bid on Fourpoints.Anyway here is what I did and how I got on PRICELINE.com.3* Berkeley-Emeryville Bid for $55...rejected2.5* Berkeley-Emeryville Bid for $55...AcceptedMaybe I would end up getting better offer if I began with $50 or a bit less. But I am satisfied with the price since it's still way lower than "Lowest Guarranteed Price" on their website. Colfax
Just an fyi...PRICELINE currently rates the Berkeley Doubletree 2.5*; the same rating as the Four Points. Berkeley is the only Doubletree I know that Priceline rates 2.5*. This Doubletree has some very small rooms, and that's what you're likely to get on Priceline. Still, the Doubletree is a full service hotel/conference center with a restaurant serving three meals, plus room service. By Priceline's own rating criteria the Doubletree actually qualifies for a 3.5* rating. Link to comment
