:) This febuary 2009 I made some bidding on priceline for a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. My offer for a four star hotel was 40,- (54,26 include tax) was rejected, the 50,- US (66,15 include tax) was rejected, too. I made the bidding 2 days before arrival. The normal booking on the priceline website was for a four star hotel Holiday Inn Silom 68,- US plus tax. I stop bidding and did NOT book a room at priceline. I think they do not offer a good deal in Bangkok right now. Why should I do the bidding on a unknow hotel just to save 5,- US? I book with Accor Hotels, great selection and price.

I hope this helps you a little bit, keep trying to get a good price!!

A good example of why it's important to check rates before you bid so that you make sure you don't overbid.

Please note that we are an affiliate of Accor Hotels and please check our support page for your future hotel direct purchases.

Hope you enjoyed your stay.

I just made a booking on PRICELINE for 4 rooms in Siam Area (5*) at US$30 for 3 nights in April.

Can you please share your results with the board by starting a NEW TOPIC as the information will likely help others.
