Counselor4444
Hi, I've booked rooms online many times before but never used the "name your own price" feature. So, I tell it how much I want to spend for a certain class room and it will book an unknown hotel for me?... I'm looking for a room in Atlantic City for August 22-24 (2 nights) I'd prefer to stay in downtown AC at a casino hotel (or even the Sheraton) When I go to priceline, and punch in 8/22-8/24 it says that 4 star rooms are not available, but 3 star are. What are "3 star" hotels that I may be booked at? And what happens if I put an offer too low? Will they give me a counteroffer? Thanks for all the info! Link to comment
dahammer
Welcome!I would first check out HOTWIRE for your dates of travel as this will indicate if any hotels have excess inventory that they want to sell off. Unfortunately, your dates of travel are during a summer weekend, and Atlantic City has one attraction that Vegas will never have......an ocean. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!PRICELINE does not currently offer 4* bidding in the "Atlantic City Are" zone, as well, there is no way to ensure a casino hotel. If you're looking for a specific hotel or amentiy you can use HOTWIRE where you can see beforehand (based upon the amenity icons shown before your purchase) if the hotel offers a casino.Following dahammer's suggested step of searching HOTWIRE reveals that rates are very high for these dates. What is your maximum buget (per nite before taxes and fees) for this stay? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Counselor4444
I decided not book through HOTWIRE because they did not have any hotels available for my stay that I was interested in. Link to comment
