glenninflorida
Bid $150 Rejected. PL offered re-bid with $25 increase which I did - accepted $175.Your Offer Price: $175.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $350.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $55.66 Total Charges*: $405.66Would have been a great price for the Don Cesar (the only known 4* currently listed here) - not so great price for the Tradewinds Island Grand (AAA rate is $171). Add to that a $25/night resort fee. Please add Tradewinds Island Grand to the hotel list as a 4*.All in all, a great property and last-minute on a holiday weekend. I was just hoping for the kind of deals I have in the past with PL.Is their anything I could have done differently?Thank you for the website / contributions. I have learned alot here.Glenn Link to comment

BHL
Is this only reason Glenn had to bid over $150 because it was on Memorial Day? Should it drop afterwards? I am looking at 6/6/08 - 6/8/08.The only other 4* reports on here are:4* St Petersburg-Clearwater (St Pete Beach-Treasure Island) Tradewinds $110 ... 8/24/07-8/25/07 4* St Petersburg-Clearwater (St Pete Beach-Treasure Island) Don Cesar $100 ... 8/4/06-8/6/06 Also regarding the $22/$25 Resort Amenity Fee, is there any way to get out of it? What if you don't want that stuff? Why dont they just add it to the room rate?So let me get this straight, they add this charge on top of the Priceline price you win and agree to by contract? How are you supposed to know there's going to be a fee if you don't know what hotel you're going to get? How can that be legal? I don't see how they can be a Priceline hotel and then charge a fee on top of the PL price. FYI, this should be noted in the hotel list. Link to comment
thereuare
I am looking at 6/6/08 - 6/8/08.Please start a NEW TOPIC for your own stay.I don't see how they can be a Priceline hotel and then charge a fee on top of the PL price. You agree to the possibility of these fees when you use PRICELINE.Depending on the property you stay at you may also be charged (i) certain mandatory hotel specific service fees, for example, resort fees (which typically apply to resort type destinations and, if applicable, may range from $10 to $40 per day),...
