Got it, works out to $260 a night.

(maybe not in that order but those where my changes)

Hoping to get my daughter on a cot. Went to Hilton website, put in dates with two adults and put in dates for two adults one child. they want over 1000 euros extra a night for a child in the room if I book over their site. Guess they put you in a big suite if you have children. Big sinking feeling. Moral of story, red wine and bidding for hotel rooms over internet don't pay off. Have sent email to hotel requesting cot, see what they say. No more Priceline for me! Too stressful.

Good luck - I hope it works out.

If you don't get the response you want from the hotel, some people (not all the time) have been able to cancel with Priceline, for a rate of $25/night, as a one-time favor for a mistake. Please post back, and maybe someone who has done this can chime in.

I do see the following here, which I hope applies for you:

http://www.hotel4holiday.com/italy/venice/...lton-venice.htm

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.

All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.

All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 125.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

So if your daughter is young enough, you can bring an air mattress or sleeping bag, and have her sleep on the floor.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Thank you for sharing your winning bid with the board.

Rooms rates for the above dates at this property start at $625/nite (for two people) so your rate above is a very good deal.

The standard room at this property states the following:

Sleeps 2 adults, 1 child.
So hopefully you'll be able to get a room with two beds.

I don't think that this is a red wine and bidding issue, as you didn't overbid... it's trying to use PRICELINE for triple occupancy, which is a risk in any large city, but so much more so in Europe which has different standards than here in the United States.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.

Good luck and let us know how it it ultmately works out.

Enjoy your stay.
