What other hotels could I possibly end up???? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The above is a match for the Red Rock Resort and Spa so that would be our best guess. However, do note that the JW Marriott in this zone as well and has been suspected of being another possibility. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. yam
I don't mind getting the JW Marriott, either! I'm still weighing my mind on this deal bec. I know I can't back out once it's done. I really do think it's a great deal., though, the hotel's website is charging $125, $95 for those two days. You think I should go for it now, or wait a little while. I got 10 weeks left.Thanks.And BTW, I really appreciate this site. Learned it from Tripadvisor. :) Link to comment
thereuare
It's about 40% off per nite... so how much lower do you think it would go? (HOTWIRE's prices go up and down from search to search to increase opacity, so prices could go up or down a few dollars with no change in demand, but outside of that i'm guessing prices wouldn't go too much lower)If you decide to wait, and this hotel went up in price, or was no longer offered at all, how would you feel then? (weigh that feeling vs. seeing the price drop a little lower)Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. yam
thanks for the advise!I agree with you that it may not go any lower than $69! I would def feel bad if I let this one slip away. Might as well pocket the $90 savings now before the price goes up! I can use that money to see and watch Barry Manilow! Link to comment
yam
Got the deal finally! Our best guess was correct: Red Rock Resort!$69 for two nights (Sun & Mon), May 25-27/08total:$138taxes:$ 19.04Grand Total: $157.04 Link to comment

Salmon_SlayR
Congrats on your successful bid - Red Rock is a nice place... but beware... when we stayed there they tacked on a ~$20/nite "resort fee". We booked directly through their web site (this was when they first opened) so with you winning on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE you might dodge out of this - just wanted to give you a heads-up, though. yam
I think that $20 resort fee/night is ridiculous. What do you get with that? Free shuttle, newspaper, bottle of water? turndown service? I always rent my car in Vegas so I lose out on that fee. I think it's a rip-off! I only decided to go for this deal only because it is $69/night! I have never found that rate before. Plus, I'd like to stay off-strip for part of my trip. Even at $89 with the "fee" it's still pretty cheap for a 4.5* hotel. I've read several reports on Tripadvisor and in general they're all pretty good. I've heard the buffet is really good, too! TEXASGTP
The buffet at the Rio is also hard to bet for the price, especially at lunch. Link to comment
wbk1711
I would really like to know if they will charge you the "resort fee" when you get there. Please update this thread after you have stayed at the Red Rock and let us know PLEASE! Link to comment
