thereuare
The above hotel has not yet been identified, but if i were to take a guess, i think the Avalon hotel would be a good possibility. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make. However, i'll add that this seems expensive for this time of year, is there something in particular you're looking for? Fokus17
We are not looking for anything specific. We are going for our 1st wedding Annivers. because we got engaged in central park two years ago. We would like to find something 4* for under $200. Do you think this is possible for this time of year? we will also be trying priceline as it gets closer to our dates Link to comment
thereuare
With the exception of some 'event' taking place on the date(s) above, i think you'll be able to do much better as your trip gets closer... summer in NYC is usually one of the least expensive times of year. thereuare
Generally speaking those prices are very high for the summer.Unless there is a special event taking place during this period i would suspect that prices will come down.Use Quickbook (Fitzpatrck Grand Central for $249) or GTA Hotels to make a cancellable reservation and continue to monitor prices. Fokus17
We are looking for a 4* for one night July 23rd 2008. We are fine with the normal MTE, MTW, UM-CPS, TIMES SQUARE. Our max bid for a 4* is $250, but we want to start low as it is still a few months away. Please help with a strategy. Also, what are the chances of ever getting a 5*. We would be willing to increase if we could get one. Thanks for your help and yes we understand the rebid zone process. Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. If/when you ultimately have success with PRICELINE we'll move this entire thread to that section of the board. With plenty of re-bid zones you can start very low and still get up to $250 in the same bidding session... are you willing to bid up to $250 at this point in time?Did you ever book a cancellable back-up? If so, where and how much? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Fokus17
I am looking for a one night stay in NYC on 7/23/08. We would like a 4*. Our max bid would be $250, but we would like to start low to see what we can get. We do understand the rebid process and would be fine with the usual zones rec. on this site. We would also be interested in 5* properties if that would be a possibility. What should our max bid be for a 5*? Please advise on a strategy. Thanks Link to comment
