Hey guys, new member here and I love the forum! I'm having problems though trying to get a hotel room. I'm looking for 8/11/07 - 8/14/07 in the OC - Disneyland area. I've bid two days in a row with no success.

Bid History 7/11: bid $40 - rejected, bid $42 - rejected, bid $45 - rejected, bid $48 - rejected, bid $50 - rejected (no counter offers at all)

Bid History 7/12: bid $40 - rejected, bid $45 - rejected, bid $47 - rejected, bid $50 - rejected, bid $52 - rejected (no counter offers either)

Each time I'm adding in different areas (Anaheim hills, laguna beach, etc)

Please help!

ps - i'm also looking for 2 nights in San Diego (Downtown) for 8/9 - 8/11 but I will post in the other forum

Actually, i'm finding hotel direct rates about $10-$20 higher than usual across the board... not a BIG difference, but may be enough for your stay to require a slightly higher bid than usual. I think you can stick with your current bidding plan, but should at least be prepared to go a bit higher than usual if you continue to have difficulty in an acceptance.
