I'm looking for 8/11/07 - 8/14/07 in the OC - Disneyland area. I've bid two days in a row with no success.Bid History 7/11: bid $40 - rejected, bid $42 - rejected, bid $45 - rejected, bid $48 - rejected, bid $50 - rejected (no counter offers at all)Bid History 7/12: bid $40 - rejected, bid $45 - rejected, bid $47 - rejected, bid $50 - rejected, bid $52 - rejected (no counter offers either)Each time I'm adding in different areas (Anaheim hills, laguna beach, etc)Please help!ps - i'm also looking for 2 nights in San Diego (Downtown) for 8/9 - 8/11 but I will post in the other forum Link to comment

Colfax Posted July 12, 2007 Report Share Posted July 12, 2007 Prices don't look unusually high for your dates so I think you might just be bidding a little early. I suggest reserving a cancellable backup (so you know you have something) and trying to $52 every few days now. Link to comment

thereuare Posted July 13, 2007 Report Share Posted July 13, 2007 Actually, i'm finding hotel direct rates about $10-$20 higher than usual across the board... not a BIG difference, but may be enough for your stay to require a slightly higher bid than usual. I think you can stick with your current bidding plan, but should at least be prepared to go a bit higher than usual if you continue to have difficulty in an acceptance.
