TJewel Posted January 6, 2007 Report Share Posted January 6, 2007 Since I had 9 months until check in and Santa Monica usually has a higher Priceline rate, I have been lowball bidding this on and off for about a month, starting at $55 and only going as high as $65. Didn't plan to do any serious bidding on this until about August. Rates are Holiday Inn ($189), Marriott ($229), Doubletree ($229) and Sheraton ($269). Started bidding tonight at $55 and since there is no free rebids for 3* I added Beverly Hills and increased my bid to $60. Priceline came back with a acceptance at the Holiday Inn Santa Monica, which I wasn't expecting at all. The reviews on TripAdvisor seem fairly good and the hotel appears to be in a excellent location. Total price with taxes and service fees $145.54. :) Link to comment
