dahammer Posted November 6, 2006 Report Share Posted November 6, 2006 thanks for your post, I think we all have buyers remorse when our first bid gets accepted, but when I save 50% off a direct internet only rate I'm usually pretty happy. This might be a good case for not following another post as conditions could have been different due to occupancy levels, timing of your bid relative to your dates of travel, etc. You mentioned the best direct rate was $86, while there is no direct correlation between published rates and the rate that a Hotel loads into the Priceline system, you can often use this published rate to adjust your bid up or down in relation to a previous posted "win".
