  7. 4*, Times Square, Theater District $199 per night for July 9-11 (2 nights) Amenities: Smoke free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet and Spa. Can anyone help identify this hotel? Is it the Westin Times Square? Thank you.
  8. Need a hotel for one night in Miami pre cruise. Does any hotel offer shuttle to the boat? Should I be bidding in Downtown or MIA airport? Thanks.
  9. This is further to my previous post. HOTWIRE shows availabilty for a 4* in Hollywood Beach for $269 with a retail rate of $430 which is exactly the going rate for the Westin Diplomat. However, it does not show an icon for "golf nearby" until you click "Continue". When you go to the next screen, it also shows the golf nearby icon. I suspect it cannot be the Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach because the retail rate for that property is not $430. If HOTWIRE is offering the Westin Diplomat for $269, does anyone have a guess as to how much it could be had thru PRICELINE? Thank you.
  10. The Diplomat is going for $430 and the Crowne Plaza for $255. I went up to to $200 for the Diplomat and $150 for the Crowne Plaza. Given it is less than a week away, I don't understand why they don't sell their rooms which will otherwise go unsold. The Diplomat has rooms available with Starpoints so that means they have basic rooms available, but I'm not prepared to spend 16,000 starpoints per night. Does anyone think the situation may change this week?
  11. February 5, 2008, the SavingsBarn.com PRICELINE link was used. Thank you.

  13. Zone: 2* Hotel, Buffalo International Airport Date of Stay: 12/03/07 Price: $52 Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Restaurant, High Speed Internet Access
  14. I needed a room near BUF for one night. I didn't want the Millennium and that's why I decided to use HW over PL. I don't see where The Village Haven has come up before. (If this topic has been discussed elsewhere, I'm sorry) First of all, it's not really that close to the airport. The BUF airport is in Cheektowaga and this is in Clarence. And there is no airport shuttle, which I neglected to see. I thought it would be something like the Quality Inn. So, be careful of this location.
  15. I didn't book the BW. Trying to get something cheper for my cousins who booked it. Personally, I won't stay at a BW.
  16. I've got the Best Western Roadhouse Suites booked as a backup for $140, including breakfast and parking. I think I saw it on HOTWIRE for more than that. Usually you do not have to pay more than 50% of the retail rates, many times as low as 33%.
  17. The Holiday Inn Select Government Center is $216 and the Doubletree Boston DT is $269. Went up to $110 with no luck. I thought that should be sufficient.
  18. So it was. Candlewood Suites - Chicago/Waukegan See details 1151 S Waukegan Road Waukegan, Illinois 60085 (847) 578-5250 1 room(s):$44.00 per night x 1 night(s) SubTotal:$44.00 Taxes recovery charges and fees TaxesAndFees:$11.34 Hotel subtotal:$55.34
  19. What is the risk if there are 3 people? Isn't it the same risk for a party of 2 wanting 2 beds? Can you not just call the hotel the morning of arrival and ask them to block a room with 2 beds?
  20. Everything I have ever read about the PanAmerican has been negative to the point of warning you to stay away. Good luck
