Haven't used this site in a few years and took a bit of searching to remember the name but glad you're still around.  I used the links on the page to search and book my hotel, and also used the coupon code which was a big deal.  Thanks for all you do.  

By the way - can you please update The Curtis entry on the Hotwire Hotel List from 3.5* to 4*?

Thanks to this site, I was confident it would be The Curtis Denver (especially since the Hotwire site now gives you the option to "Show Hotels" after this message:  Your Hot Rate hotel is guaranteed to be 1 of these 4).  I chose the $73 ($93 total) Hotwire over the $70 ($92 total) Priceline Express (which I guessed would be the Sheraton Denver Downtown based on past reported wins last December in combination with the amenities list [thank you, "Pet Friendly"]) for the same level 4* hotel because The Curtis had better reviews, charged $4 less for parking ($36 vs. $40), and the location was a tiny bit better for me.  Although I love this site, I probably wasted at least an hour just considering all these options that in the end only make a marginal difference (a few dollars here, a few blocks there, a few better versus worse reviews that probably won't matter for just an overnight stay).  Anyway, I still love the site and thanks for all you do.

Beaver Creek must not be doing so well this spring.  The rates have dropped for a few of the nicer hotels.  

Over two years ago, but upon check-in I inquired if the room would have two beds.  I didn't ask for it but the front desk was nice enough to upgrade me to a penthouse suite :)

Got the expected hotel thanks to the Hotwire Hotel List.  Paid $10 extra over another option for the better reviews.  Used the betterbidding BiddingHelper.com to book.  Thanks for all you do.  

Debated between the 3* (probably Crystal Inn and Suites) and the 4* (probably Sheraton) for $8 less.  From past experience, when booking as 2 Adults/1 Child sometimes hotels only give rooms with 1 king bed (on the other hand, I've also been upgraded to a suite to accommodate the room request).  Since I wanted to make sure there were two beds I went with the 3* choice because it included a bed selection option ($3 more to reserve 2 queens).  Supposedly the Crystal Inn and Suites also has a nice hot breakfast, too, so that also came into consideration.

$74/night + $17.31 taxes and fees = $91.31 total.

Parking in the Jessie Square garage next door is in the range of $30 overnight.  A much better option for travelers who don't need in/out privileges. 

Also, the streetcar stop is almost in front of the hotel.  A very fun and cheap way to travel to/from other parts of downtown and the wharf.

$109/night = $218, plus $53.86 taxes and fees = $271.86 trip total.  Also anticipating hefty nightly parking charges in the $60/night range.

Used the Bidding.Helper.  Taxes recovery charges + fees $10.71 and $20 estimated resort fee brings the total to $78.71.

Was pretty sure this was it based on Hotwire hotel list checked against the Tripadvisor rating and Tripadvisor number of reviews when clicking on the listing, so the resort fee wasn't a surprise (listed as $15 on the Orlando parking and resort fees page).

When I click the $145 three star St. Pete Beach area resort 85% recommended, it says "See the hotel the last person got: Plaza Beach Hotel Beachfront."  How reliable is that comment from the Hotwire site?

Used the BiddingHelper.  Had a fair idea it would be this one, except the BetterBidding Hotwire hotel list has it listed as 3 stars instead of 2.5 (please update the list).  Tax recovery charges and fees for two nights came to $32.56.  The hotel has good reviews on TripAdvisor and is 100% recommended on Hotwire (it says 95% and 100%), so I'm happy.  Thanks for all you do, BetterBidding crew.

Forgot to mention there actually was a message on the Hotwire page saying something to the effect of, "Last person booked the Best Western Redondo Beach Inn" - but as thereuare has pointed out, that is just a message referring to the area and star rating and does not have any bearing on the hotel received.

While listed at $52, I used the Bed Chooser option to book at $60 for two queen beds (instead of just one).

It's made clear that:

•All rooms will accommodate up to 2 people. Special requests (including preferences for smoking or non-smoking rooms) should be requested through your confirmed hotel and cannot be guaranteed by Priceline.

However, I have to assume that when I'm paying more for choosing to reserve a bed option that it will be guaranteed.

Hoped for Best Western Redondo Beach Inn, but got Hotel Hermosa instead.  A new addition to the Hotwire hotel list?  At least there's free parking and it's close to the beach.

Booked today.  I expected Best Western Plus at the Convention Center based on the lists of amenities (the Business Center threw me off), but this should still be a fine value.
