  1. I got The Back Bay via Priceline on the same days too. July 4th in Boston should be a blast. Have fun.
  2. Sorry this is a touch late. I am posting this to help future bidders identify the property The Peabody Orlando 4.5* Orlando (SeaWorld - I-drive South) Amenities Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access $83 a night. But once you add the Orlando resort fee, recovery tax, etc. the true cost was around $115. Mentally add $30 a night to whatever price Hotwire is quoting you. Sorry I did not use the HOTWIRE link. We were all exhausted from Sea World/Aquatica and just wanted to sleep at a nearby hotel. I booked this hotel in the lobby with my iPhone.
  3. I also got this property on Hotwire for $83 on 5/30/2011 - 6/1/2011. We all got exhausted from Sea World/Aquatica so we decided at the last minute to stay at a nearby hotel. I booked this hotel in the lobby with my iPhone. Once you add the customary Orlando resort fee and taxes, the real cost came to about $115. The kids loved the place. They still talk about the hotel with the ducks. We spent almost an hour just walking around the hotel. The Peabody has a great pool area with a water slide. Nice view from the hotel room too. We never felt threatened or insecure while on the main I drive road. I recommend this property and it deserves its 4.5* rating.
  4. Airport South and West are about equidistant to the airport. Airport South is generally a bit easier to drive to the TPA because if you stay in the right lane, Spruce leads directly into the airport. Depending on what property you get in Airport West, you may need to use Memorial to get to TPA. Memorial is five lanes of high speed traffic with confusing road signs. Use the shuttle if possible. But if you get lucky, you may win the Marriott Airport in zone West; that hotel is connected directly to the airport terminal. You are not going to find even a 3* hotel in Airport North. Hope this helps.
  5. A parking garage in Boston will cost you around $20 a day. And speaking from experience, you really don't want to drive in Boston if you don't have to, especially if you are not familiar with the area. Take the T if at all possible.
  6. No counteroffer. Here was my bidding history $100 on 3.5* on Copley Square - Theatre District : Fail Add 4* on Copley and up bid to $125: Fail Add Brighton - Brookline (no 3.5*) and up bid to $135: Success I did this at the last minute. If I had more time I would have gone in smaller bid increments using the free rebids. Good thing about Boston Priceline is that it has five zones without 3.5* stars (Brighton - Brookline, Fenway Park, Medford - Somerville, North Cambridge - Arlington, South Boston) Good luck on your bids.
  7. I can usually win this property for $40 but it failed this time. 3 Star Billerica - Tewksbury Area Holiday Inn Tewksbury $46 second bid 6/29/2011 - 6/30/2011 Used PRICELINE link.
  8. Two failed bids of $100 and $125. Finally got a winning bid for $135 for a 4* Used the PRICELINE link. The Back Bay Hotel 350 Stuart Street Boston, Massachusetts 02116 A little pricier than I can usually win but it's close to fireworks and a holiday.
  9. First Bid $50 accepted. 3* Courtyard By Marriott Nashua Concord - Nashua (Merrimack - Nashua), NH 2200 Southwood Drive Nashua, New Hampshire 03063 603-880-9100
  10. 3 Star Andover - Tewksbury Area Holiday Inn $53 4/10/2011 - 4/21/2011 Tewksbury Hotel is actually a Holiday Inn under renovations. Stayed on 4/10 - 4/21 It is a nice and clean property with a decent restaurant/bar on first floor. Renovation work fairly non-intrusive. Amenities Fitness Center Restaurant High-Speed Internet Access Found out later you can get same property for a $40 bid on Priceline.
  11. 3 Star Billerica - Tewksbury Area Tewksbury Hotel $40 first bid 4/26/2011 - 5/2/2011 The Tewksbury Hotel is actually a Holiday Inn under renovations. Previously stayed on 4/11 - 4/21 (see my hotwire hotel purchase for details) It is a nice and clean property with a decent restaurant/bar on first floor. Renovations fairly non-intrusive.
