  1. Used the BetterBidding Hotwire link Free parking :) $60.00+taxes and fees= $73.79
  2. Bid $60 for this zone, was told to increase bid to $73 to get room. Instead, I added Vanderbilt zone and increased bid to $65. Successful. Used your link to get to PRICELINE :) Thank you for adding this feature- it makes posting a win much easier!
  3. Started with $55, rejected. Added another area with no 5-star hotels, increased bid to $65, Priceline offered to accept if I increased my bid to $80. No thanks. I added another area with no 5-star hotels, increased bid to $70, accepted. Excited to stay at the Wynn- it gets rave reviews. Used your link to PRICELINE many times to research this and do the bidding. Thanks to BetterBidding.com and all travelers who post their wins here- it's a great resource!
  4. First bid was $65, Priceline said I could have it if I increased my offer to $79. Started over, (through the PRICELINE link on this site,) bid $70 with another zone that does not have resorts and bid was accepted. I bid one day before my stay. Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $70.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $18.83 (USD) Total Room Cost: $88.83 (USD) rack rate on Loews website is $219+ taxes=$248. :D
  5. First bid $55, Priceline said if I upped bid to $70 it would be accepted. Instead, I started over, added Glen Burnie area (no 3* hotels there,) bid $60 and was accepted at this Radisson. Free parking. Older hotel, not as nice as the other 3* hotel we stayed in (Doubletree Inn at The Colonnade) but fine for $60/night. I like that one window in the room opens. Room Subtotal: $60.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $16.50 (USD) Total Room Cost: $76.50 (USD) Used the PRICELINE link from BetterBidding.com.
  6. First bid of $55 was accepted. Second night in the area, this hotel was nicer than the 3* hotel we got through Priceline last night for $60 (Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys.) Nice newer hotel- across the street from Johns Hopkins University athletic facility and stadium. Self park is $24/night (not unlimited in and out.) Valet park is $28/night. There is a pool but front desk said it would not be open this afternoon because there is no lifeguard scheduled and Maryland law requires that a lifeguard has to be in attendance. Can this be true? On street parking available for 50 cents/hour, 4 hour max. Free from 6 pm- 9 am, and all day Sunday. Used the PRICELINE link from this site to get started with bidding. Room Subtotal: $52.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $15.20 (USD) Total Room Cost: $67.20 (USD)
  7. Thank you for listing the parking fee for this hotel. I wish we could know in advance of bidding what the parking fees are at a hotel, or within a zone. It only seems fair if it will add another 40% to the cost of the hotel room, as it did to your bid. Suddenly a $65 room is $100+ after adding taxes and parking.
  8. Pros: Overall nice hotel, free parking, pool and hot tub, exterior window opens (only about 3" though) Con: no self service laundry Rack rate is $189 on PRICELINE Used the PRICELINE link on this site to bid on this stay
  9. I can't believe you had to pay extra to get a non-smoking room!!! I would have been outraged. I would definitely complain to somebody- I just don't know who- maybe a regional manager? Priceline might be interested in this, too. So many hotels in Massachusetts are completely smoke free. It seems a smoking customer should pay the premium rate, not the other way around. If you added the $15 non-smoking charge to your original bid, you probably could have gotten a nicer hotel to begin with.
  10. Price summary Hotel Rate per night: $58.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $13.96 Subtotal: $71.96 Trip total: $71.96 Prices are in US Dollar (USD) Amenities: Fitness Center pool restaurant Business Center Laundry facilities (self service) High speed internet service Bid up to $75 for 3.5* then 3* hotels in both zones in Williamsburg. Declined. Decided to pay $58 on Hotwire for 4* property at airport rather than dropping to 2.5* on Priceline. Got the Omni Hotel, which I would rate a 2.5* or 3* hotel- definitely not a 4*! Free internet service is in all rooms but not necessarily wireless. 4th floor has wireless, I stayed on 5th floor and was able to get it. hot tub is out of service until Monday, 4/25/11. Used the BetterBidding link to both PriceLine and Hotwire. Sorry- I just realized I listed the date incorrectly. I actually stayed here 4/18/11-4/19/11. If I could figure out how to edit the headline to correct this I would...
  11. Your Offer Price: $102.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $102.00 Taxes and Fees: $22.12 Total Charges*: $124.12 Valet parking= $18/night (unlimited in and out) self park around the corner= $12/night (no in and out) free on-street parking if available I used the PRICELINE link on this site.
  12. Hi Bob L- Don't feel bad for your mistake- I don't think you overpaid. Philadelphia is busy this weekend- this is the first weekend of April break for East coast public schools. And, the Phillies are playing at home for 6 nights starting Friday 4/15. I bid up to $77 for 6 different 3.5* Philadelphia zones and was declined. Instead, out of desperation and frustration I took a 3* Hotwire room for $72 in the airport area- turned out to be Holiday Inn. It's fine for me for 1 night. You'll also probably have free parking in Cherry Hill. I usually pay $25-$35/night in downtown Philadelphia for parking- diminishes the bargain that you got on Priceline... Have fun!
