Hi! Using information from this forum, I was able to book the Royal Lahaina in Maui over the 4/8 weekend for $131 per night. I tried the rate of $115, then $120, then $125 first. When I got to the $125 bid, I immediately got an offer to increase my bid by $40 to $165. Instead, I bid one more time at $131. Unfortunately, I don't think this rate is that excellent because with the Priceline fees, you're only paying about $20-25 less per night than getting a guaranteed tower room by booking through other travel sites (supposedly the Garden Cottage rooms are completely atrocious). I spoke with the reservationist and the front office manager at the Royal Lahaina and their director of reservations in their headquarters at LA and was unable to get any guarantee that the room would be in the tower. :) Anyway, kind of a frustrating situation since someone else seems to have had a more favorable answer on this forum, but just be aware that you're getting a "run of the house" room and there are not guarantees! :)
