I apologize for not following up on this one. I decided to go ahead and book at the hotel where the reception was, since I did not see it as one of the hotels on priceline. So, I did not book anything through priceline on this trip.

I have been trying (through savingsbarn.com) to get a hotel for 3/31-4/2. I can't get the rates that were found, above. (sadly) Is there something in particular going on this weekend? Here's what I have so far: Loop - 4 * - $62 Loop / River North - 4* - $65 Loop / River North - 3* - $65 Loop / River North/ Skokie - 3* - $70 Rejected! Any suggestions on a better price for a 3* hotel in this area? I have received prices around the $55-$60 range (on weekends) before. I can use my travel partner's credit card to try to bid again. OK.. I decided to call the event location and ask for a recommended hotel. I went with the City Suites, so I was guaranteed something within walking distance. I did not book through priceline. Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know what the 3* hotel, in Kalamazoo is? I went on Priceline and it shows a 3* available. Any idea??

Ok, I found out that I don't necessarily need these areas. What area is close to Wrigley? Apparently, the place I'm going is right near Wrigley. Any suggestions for hotels? I just don't want a sketchy area / hotel, since I'm a single female going to an area I don't know in Chicago.

Does anyone know if anything big is going on in Chicago over 10/4-10/5? I would like to get a hotel room, at one of the 4 star places for around $40-$50/night. I've done that before, but haven't had much luck lately. It seems like there are always HUGE conferences taking over the hotels. Anyone have information on that week? Thank you, Kelley

I booked 2 rooms, a month ago, directly on the Congress Plaza hotel website, for $150/ea. The prices on hotwire at the time were much higher. I would suggest going directly to their website. This is for Friday and Saturday 5/20-5/21.
