  1. Always use those links. I've actually gone ahead and booked a hotel directly, decided we would prefer to know the exact location this time.
  2. Thanks, strange they only list 5 amenities on the first one... would there be a shortlist of hotels for that one or are the amenities too low to really tell ?
  3. I'm trying to see if I can get the Sheraton Hotel and have two possible ones, if anyone could help identify them ? #1 Dates: 11/1-11/4 Area:Downtown Atlanta Recommended: 85% Customer recommended Per Night: $59 ($135 standard price) Amenities: Pet friendly Restaurant(s) Business Center In Room Accessibility Accessible Bathroom #2 Dates: 11/1-11/5 Area: Downtown Atlanta Recommended: 90% Customer recommended Per Night: $64.00 ($183 Standard Rate) Amenities: Free Internet Pet Friendly Restaurants Business Center High Speed Internet In Room Accessibility Accessible Bathroom
  4. Just to follow up, I decided I would prefer to know which hotel I'm in for this trip and so booked the Monte Carlo via Expedia.
  5. I looked at the list and couldn't really narrow the amenities down. A few guesses from reading the forum would be #1 - Luxor or Paris ? #2 - Ballys ? #3 - Can't find a match to this one #4 - Polo Towers ? #5 - Vdara or Four Seasons - Four Seasons is sold out for those dates though so I assume it wouldn't be that one. As much as I can match on the list, I've noticed sometimes the amenities differ when people win on the forum so thought I would ask peoples opinions on here as well as checking the list to try get a better idea. I understand it's not fool proof and that I could end up with a completely different hotel.
  6. I couldn't edit my first post but the nightly rates are: #1 - $106 #2 - $121 #3 - $123 #4 - $120 #5 - $216 Thank You
  7. Thank You, I've followed up on my previous thread :)
  8. Just to follow up on this, I ended up booking the Premier Inn T5 directly for £39.
  9. 10. Hey, Trying to get the Heathrow Sofitel which I thought was the only 5* hotel in heathrow. I noticed when I did a normal (non bidding, no secret) hotel search on priceline it came up with a hotel called 'London Syon Park, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel' and underneath it says London Heathrow. Looking at the area map on the bidding side of Priceline it seems the London Syon Park is just outside the boundaries. I can't seem to find any 5* hotel wins on here, has anyone come across any alternatives to the Sofitel on a 5* bid ? If Sofitel is the only possible win, what sort of bids would you recommend? The basic price for our current stay directly would be £162. Thanks in advance :)
  11. As a follow up to this thread: I have made a reservation directly with a hotel instead, although still a little curious as to what these hotels might have been :)
  12. Thank You. As for the other one, yes it's definitely a 3* in the Glendale - Burbank - Universal City location. It's a boutique hotel which I've never seen before in this area, perhaps it's a new addition ? Apparently the Hotel Amarano in Burbank is seen as a boutique hotel, 3* and has a good amenities match.
  13. I only get one of the two hotels that show on the uk search ? 3* - 1 Room - 28th August to 17th September - $2063 Standard price -$4,010ǂ You save - $1,947 $92 per night Amenities: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Free Parking Free Internet would anyone be able to second guess the other hotel too ?
  14. Other thread updated, links clicked. It doesn't show the per night cost just the total?
  15. 3* - 1 Room - 28th August to 17th September - $2063 Standard price -$4,010ǂ You save - $1,947 Amenities: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Free Parking Free Internet *If the Standard Price is calculated against an actual stay between those dates then the Residence Inn by Marriott Burbank Downtown seems to be a close match price wise, however the free parking is throwing me off as the Marriott mentions a fee for parking. 3* - 1 Room - 28th August to 17th September - $3694 3.5 out of 5.0 Rating from 50+ reviews Amenities: Boutique Hotel Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) Free Parking Any help IDing these hotels would be really appreciated.
  16. As a follow up the 3.5 Star was the Marriott Oakland City Center. I've posted a new topic with the win but thought I would follow up this thread too :)
  17. Got the Marriott Oakland City Center for $82. Facilities listed were: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access 90% reviews.
  18. Trying to narrow down possible hotels for the following on hotwire: Area: Oakland - Alameda area Price: $82 Star Rating: 3.5 Facilities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access ______________ Area: Oakland - Alameda area Price: $98 Star Rating: 3 Facilities: Restaurant(s) Business Center ___________________ Area: Oakland - Alameda area Price: $61 Star Rating: 2 Facilities: Suite Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access
  19. Thanks, still looking at my options at the moment :) Could anyone help identify this one, reading through previous posts the only hotel I can come up with is the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach but wasn't able to find any other 3.5* hotels in the area (Redondo/Hermosa) to compare against. Redondo Beach - Hermosa Beach area | Show map 3.5 Star Facilities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Hotwire customer reviews 80% 3.5 out of 5.0 Rating from 300+ reviews Forgot to add: I couldn't get the Crowne Plaza to show up on any other travel site other than directly with CP website itself, not sure if this would make any difference as to attempting to identifying it :)
  20. Dates - 15th April to 1st May Redondo Beach - Hermosa Beach area 2.5 Stars Facilities: Free Breakfast, Fitness Center, Laundry Facilities Total $1534 Thank you :)
  21. Dates - 15th April to 1st May Redondo Beach - Hermosa Beach area 2 Stars Facilities: High speed internet access Total $943
  22. I have three hotels I want to try and figure out but believe I need to post these as separate posts ? Dates - 15th April to 1st May Redondo Beach - Hermosa Beach area 1 Star Facilities: none listed Total $939
  23. Because I'd reduced the number of nights I was able to increase my bids a little, I was splitting them up though so trying $70 for 3 nights, $50 for a few other nights just to try and see where I could get an acceptance. I have now ended up booking a hotel direct as I couldn't get anything accepted so perhaps this thread could be closed if it's no use to anyone else :) I am also looking for a long weekend stay in New York so will post over in that forum too to see if there are any 'bargains' to be had :)
  24. I have updated my previous thread to inform of changes to my original dates. I have since been trying to get a hotel through priceline with no luck so far. My dates are 5th April - 22nd April, Looking at Studio City, North Hollywood, Burbank-Glendale-Universal, Hollywood 3* min preferably. I have mixed my dates up, tried 1 night, 2 nights a week, 2 weeks. I'm in the uk so my bids are on priceline.co.uk and are in
