When staying in Lewisville, Texas, there are two hotels that have come up for us: 2* La Quinta Inn Dallas Lewisville Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), High-speed Internet Access 2* Lakepointe Suites Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Laundry Facilities Based on our experience, I would recommend that you AVOID Lakepointe (aka Gunpoint) Suites

Sorry for the slow response. Yes, you are correct, the Lakepointe Suites is NOT nice! We left negative feedback with Hotwire. In addition, the regular hotel price was less than hotwire so we got to take advantage of the "Double the Difference" guarantee. We have stayed at the La Quinta many times and actually thought it was fairly nice. :)

The amenities were the same as listed on the BB hotwire hotel list. Great price for Mem Day weekend! Hello. I am going to Curacao Aug. 16 - 20. I ran a hotwire search and got $150 as a quote for a 4 * there. It may or may not be the Hilton (the amenities appear to exactly match the Hilton). Anyway, for 3 people, they want $150/night, but if I put 2 people in, we get an offer for only $66/night!!! I read the FAQ about additional people in the room. My question is can I just go w/2 people and then have our third person come in "later" through the lobby? It is such a large price difference! Even if they were to charge us for the extra person, surely it would not be all that much ($84 extra per night?!?). Thanks for any advice you can offer.

I had a copy of the PDF saved on my computer from before they pulled the PDF offline. I don't think it helps, though, since they have figured out (at least in my case) whether or not you've gotten your $30 per Entertainment Book, regardless of whether you sent a PDF or original form.

UPDATE...After getting my first one accepted and mailing a second, they promptly rejected it. Only one $30 rebate for me...they have their stuff together on limiting this, it seems. Mailed Hotwire rebate on Aug. 1 Received email from Hotwire today saying "Rebate Processed." Under 21 calendar days! I used a PDF of the rebate form that was available online and a copy of my Ent. Membership Card. This is the first Hotwire rebate I've processed so far so I expected it to work and am glad it did. Now, I am going to mail in a second rebate offer as the original Hotwire form from my Entertainment Book. I'll let you all know what happens....
