  1. Hello Everyone! 2. Hi Everyone! Im looking to bid on airfare for 2 people on priceline (LA/OC area to LGA/JFK/EWR for 11/22-12/01) during Thanksgiving week .. I know, bad week but I really want to see the Macy's day Parade and the Christmas tree lighting, so these days are set. Anyways, I've only bid on priceline for hotels, so I may need some help for bidding on flights. I'm very flexible on the departing/returning time and I dont mind connecting flights, but I just dont know what I should start my bidding at or if my prices are reasonable. The cheapest airfare I found is on Southwest's site (about $380/person including fees and taxes) SNA to EWR. Priceline's prices are musch higher somewhere around $450+/person. I want to try and get the airfare for a little less than $300/person including taxes $ fees if possible, and dont know if I should wait till after labor day (read online that after labor day is when airlines start dishing out the deals for holiday travel) or buy now since it might be risky buying so close to departure. Any help or information is appreciated! Thanks! :) Oh and I also heard that LGA is not a good airport to flight to cause they are known for their delays.. I was wondering if this was true? Update: I just searched kayak and found a flight for $240/person including taxes & fees (SNA to EWR). However its departing on 11/21, and I wanted to leave on the 22nd due to the amount of work days I will be able to take off. Is it possible to get priceline to agree for around this much for 11/22?
  3. Hello Everyone! UPDATE: So I went ahead and bid on a 5 Star hotel first.. Started out with zone 9 (strip south vicinity) at $105.. no luck. Then I kept on bidding adding either $3 or $5 and another zone that didn't have any 5 Star hotels. Practically bid on all the zones and on my last try got my offer accepted!! Won the Palazzo hotel at $170 for memorial day weekend!! (5/27-5/29) Happy bidding everyone! hope this helps! :)
  4. I would first like to start off with the 5 Star hotels at around $200 on priceline if possible. Preferably on the strip south. Then if it doesnt work out then north will do. Oh and yes, I do not want the north condo area but if I get it then it's ok. Much appreciated!
  5. Well I guess I could raise my budget to $200/per night for a 5 Star give or take a little. Also, Im willing to settle for TI but hopefully I wont get it..
  6. Hi Everyone!! :) Im looking to book a 5 Star hotel on the strip- south for memorial day weekend (5/27-5/29) I would like to spend $150/per night total including taxes and fees. I dont know if this is a little too unreasonable since it is a holiday weekend and most of these hotels are around $250+... but hopefully Ill get lucky. I need help bidding because yesterday I got rejected at $130...I think I started my bidding too low x( Also, if none of these options works out I would be willing to do a 4 Star .. preferably monte carlos or caesar's somewhere in the center .. but not TI. I usually bid on 5 Stars so I dont know what would be a good price for the 4 Stars during this time.. maybe $75/per night? THANKSSS!!! :)
  7. Hi again! I am looking for a 5 star on the strip-south for memorial day weekend. (5/27-5/29) I tried bidding at Priceline and went up to $130 and still got rejected. Im going to wait a day so that I can bid again.. Can someone help me with the bidding? Im looking to spend no more than 150/nighl including taxes .. if that is possible. Much appreciated THANKS!!!! :)
  8. Hi! So I tried bidding accordingly to the threads i read on the forum. These are my results: I used the rebidding zone technique but had my dates (2/4-2/6 in stead of 2/4-2/5) thinking i wouldnt win at a starting bid of $80 (shooting for the wynn) I had no luck with the first few tries so I dropped the extra day and won the bid at $93 at the wynn! Thank you sooo much for all the help! I greatly appreciate it and will use this forum every time from now on and tell all my friends about it too!
  9. Ohh Okk. Im looking to spend about 150 at the most. Is it possible to book the room on priceline and then upgrade the room to a 2 queen bedroom when you arrive at the hotel? Or is that risky?
  10. Hi All! Im new to bidding on priceline and thought i might give it a try since i hear wonderful things about it :) Im looking to stay from 2/4-2/5 (only one night, 4 people) on the north strip.. preferably the wynn or the encore and lastly the plazzo. I was wondering if it was possible to get the room for $80 since its only one night and i hear the people can get it around $87. But im not sure if that's too cheap since the prices are around the $200 mark. Im not sure how the bidding process goes and i've read the threads .. but im still a little confused on bidding and rebidding so that i can get he cheapest price. Please help me!
