  1. I haven't been to this property before. It will probably make a nice change from the retail core.
  2. Thanks for pointing that out. I meant 7/3 to 7/4. I'm not quite sure how to revise that. Maybe a moderator can do it.
  3. Bid $80 and then $100 due to the counter offfer. All other online sites listed over $200. I used the Betterbidding PRICELINE link to bid. The Westin is my favorite Seattle Hotel based on location. The beds are wonderful. I'm sure I'll get lots of great photos on Sunday and Monday.
  4. I'll be down there this coming Friday/Saturday. I'll see if I can find a cheaper alternative in the neighborhood.
  5. I called the three properties I have rooms for this weekend. Alexis - Valet parking with in and out privileges for $43 (includes tax). This is for a 24 hour period. Westin - Valet $39+tax/Self $36+tax. Both have in and out privileges. You can park until 5pm day of checkout. Sheraton - Valet $41+tax with in and out prvileges. You can park until 6pm day of checkout. I avoid these charges by leaving my car at the Northgate Transit Center and taking the bus downtown. I forget what the number is but it goes through the bus tunnel and is convenient to most properties. Also, if arriving by air. The light rail goes all the way to the airport now. It's just a few dollars and also goes through the tunnel.
  6. I decided to bring my sister along on my Seattle weekend. We will spend Friday night at the Alexis together. I thought she would like some time to herself so I bid on another room in addition to the Westin I already had on 2/19. I started at $60 and worked up to $70. That seems to be the magic number for this weekend. I was surprised it wasn't the Westin. I'll check into both places with my sister and let her decide where she wants to stay. I think the Sheraton is a great property but I've stayed at the Westin a few times and remember the great beds. The Sheraton has apool with great views. As I've said before, I'll leave my car at a park & ride and take a bus downtown. Seattle public transportation is great and a car isn't needed for a great weekend. If arriving at the airport, there is a light rail to downtown that goes through the bus tunnel. It' very convenient to most hotels. BTW, I was careful to start out from the PRICELINE link at this site. $70 for the Sheraton. That's better than usual. :)
  7. Every time I go to Seattle for the weekend, I park at the Northgate Park and Ride transit center and take a bus downtown. Seattle public transportation is great and is free in the downtown area. From downtown you can also ride the monorail to the Seattle center for a few dollars roundtrip.
  8. I started bidding at $60 and worked my way up. I've stayed at the Westin two or three times before. It's in a great location and the beds are wonderful. I'll be at the Alexis on 1st Ave the night before. It will be nice to be in two different parts of downtown Seattle.
  9. I've used PRICELINE a lot before and was also surprised that I got the Alexis. I'll be at the Westin the next night for the same price. It's not such a pain changes properities and it's two different parts of downtown Seattle.
