  1. I was wondering if there has been something else reported at Page (Arizona) then the following three: 3* Courtyard 1* Americas Best Value 1* Super 8 I can bid on 3*, 2,5*, 2* and 1*. Hotels available via Priceline normal: 2,5* = Best Western Plus , 2* = Quality Inn, 2* = Days Inn. No dates decided yet, but might think of bidding if there is a slight chance for Quality Inn or Days Inn. What do you think?
  2. Tried again and won Wynn for $ 90,-. Happy to stay there this summer.
  3. Right. The Hotwire price dropped to $ 101,- today and I received a counter offer of $ 100,- while bidding $ 80. Decrease in price.. :), please.
  4. Without any doubt, this information acquired will be passed to the hotels and will be used for price determination purposes. Hotels will see all the maximum bids of the users and might use their pricing policy based on that information. I wouldn't doubt also if they send the failed bids of the zones to the hotels.
  5. I also see that the Wynn has it's own discount coupon for a $ 139,- stay. I consider that as a regular rate as it's available for everyone very easily. I hope the volatility will work out soon :-)
  6. Just additional: we tried for 5* North (no condo) till $ 87,-. No success. Any experience if Las Vegas rates will go down towards the dates? Is it a fluctuating system, or more lineair upwards?
  7. Seeking another 5* night at Las Vegas, will stay the first one at Wynn. Arrival new night 17th of July. 2 rooms. There is a certain amount of risk that we will receive the Palazzo/Venetian instead of the Wynn, so we will need to move. I saw that The Wynn on Hotwire went from $ 87 > $ 101 > $ 107. Our budget is $ 80/night/room, but I saw reported a $ 87,- winning bid. Shall I wait? Or bid now?
  8. Maybe you are able to help me with this. If I bid for Las Vegas North strip 5* only. I thought that the Wynn is the major win here right? Or is Ceasars Palace / Palazzo or Venetian often reported too?
  9. Won it for the 18th of July. But would like to extend it to the 17th of July. Must confess, the 18th was a Monday stay. Now need to book a Sunday stay with it.. prices might be higher. Has anyone experience if you need to move rooms at the Wynn of you have 2 separate bookings for 2 nights? I think I'll try to bid separately.
  10. Won the Wynn at LV for $ 80/night for 1 night and I tried the "Extend Your Stay" option with one night, but I directly receive an counter offer of $ 110,-. Seems that the Wynn has gone up for these dates (outside the weekend). I see that Hotwire (probably the Wynn) went also up from $ 75,- to $ 110,-. Any experience in this case for LV, do those prices drop again within a few weeks?
  11. Thanks. Still nothing. Will postpone bidding for one month.
  12. FW bid our max of $ 80,-. USE & USW: IMO is $ 110,- too much at this moment. I think I'll wait here also for a month or 2 and try again. It might that they add cheaper rooms, just before we arrive. Booked a back-up hotel. I see indeed that the bids are much, much higher than the last years...
  13. Decided to bid. Got the Days Inn Sedona for $ 48,-/room, July 15th. 2 nights. 2 rooms. Nice one. Great reviews on Tripadvisor. Thanks.
  14. $ 90 again. Both USW USE (incl. Marina rebid and Fisherman's Wharf). 2 rooms. 3 nights. 4*. DENIED :-(
  15. Thanks guys!! Union Square 4* (both east/west) denied $ 75 denied $ 80 denied $ 85. (incl. bonus cash). We will skip Japantown then.. prefer to have a good location, a bit more isn't a problem. But as we bid for 2 rooms, don't want to spend more than 80 actually.
  16. We are thinking of bidding via Priceline for a 2 night stay in Sedona on the 2*'s, but I see that the VERY negative rated Sedona Ridge Resort (time-share) has been won the last 2 years or so. Has anyone heard of exclusion of this time-share accomodation from Priceline? Some locals also mention that they try to sell you extensive time-share dump. I really hope to get the Hampton Inn in Sedona or the Days Inn. 15 th July, 2 rooms. 2 nights. Clicking the HOTWIRE PRICELINE links.
  17. Thanks. Will try via Priceline, seems that there are better prices out there with the bonus cash.
  18. Thrust me, I'll click these links nearly as often that the webservers starts to smoke :-)
  19. Do you have any experience with other zones that are safe (at night!) and close to the cable car and public transport? We might be thinking about Japantown...
  20. Thanks. Decided to change the dates so it might be better to catch a deal. Will keep you updated.
  21. Seems that I am not very lucky these days. We try to find for SF (23rd July, 3 nights) 2 rooms at Fisherman's Wharf (only 3*/3,5*) and Union Square (only 4*+). I saw that many were lucky with their bids last year for the summer and got rates around $ 60-$75 / room / night. Free rebidzone: Marina-Lombard (max. 2*) Bid history for Fisherman's Wharf (both 3* as 3,5*): $ 55,- rejected $ 57,- rejected $ 59,- rejected $ 65,- rejected $ 70,- rejected $ 72,- rejected $ 75,- rejected Do you expect that cheaper rooms will be added? Or is it true that they increased the prices... I'm trying now already for 2 weeks, no luck. Our max. is around $ 75/room/night.
  22. Dates are 15 th of July for 2 nights. I see that there is now also an other hotel in Sedona available, 3,5* amenities: Resort, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, Golf, Tennis.
  23. Sorry AaronJB for my late response there, seems that we have no luck at Priceline in Santa Monica. Will try to rebid every 2 weeks now, hopefully hotels will add lower prices. Appreciate your help for this 4*, can't find the appropriate one in your Sedona lists.
  24. Sorry for my late reaction. No success yet. I think that the Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey prices are currently too high. We decided to wait another 2-3 weeks and try again. Travellodge Santa Monica is our back-up.
  25. Clicked on the HOTWIRE links in this forum before posting, as this is the policy. Got a 4 star Sedona Area hotel, $ 152,- with listed: boutique, fitness, pool, restaurant, golf and spa. 85% recommended. Doesn't seem to be on the Hotwire list here. Can it be the Hilton? Poco Diablo? Sedona Rouge? Enchantment? Thanks guys.
