  1. Great deal! The Wyndham website is showing $310 as their lowest rate. The location is good too, as you are within walking distance of many attractions and subway stops. That being said, I discourage renting a car if you aren't leaving the city. Some Parking suggestions are covered in this thread. One of them being the Boston Common Garage evening rate, which is good when you enter after 4 PM and leave by 10 AM the next morning.
  2. To add... Thereuare merge this with the newly created win thread.
  3. To add... we'd need to know how you bid for the 3* level to see if you have any additional tries for today.
  4. You cannot do this. Once you've selected a lower star rating, you cannot go back up to the higher level. Once you've bid the 3* level, you can either go lower or wait the 24 hours to try the 4* level. So did you bid for the 4* level? Were you successful?
  5. If you're looking to get a cheaper rate, Hotwire is showing a 3-star hotel in Boston Common - Theatre District for $65. The amenities are Restaurant, Fitness, Business - which might be the Boston Doubletree Downtown.
  6. Not to mention the cheapest flight from LAX - MNL for your dates is $1431 per person.
  7. Welcome! As I've been beaten to the punch, the 4* hotels near logan are really cheap for Friday night. The Hilton is showing $129 direct and the Hyatt is $149. You would have been 'upgraded' bidding at the 3* level if you met their asking price, but you may want to consider trying into the low $60s (by a dollar or two) if you'd like a nice hotel. If you don't know how to rebid, take a look through this thread to learn how to find the 3 areas that lack a 4* hotel. Once you've done that, try the following 24 hours after your last attempt: Select 4* Logan Bid $51, if rejected add rebid area 1... Bid $56, if rejected add rebid area 2... Bid $59, if rejected add rebid area 3... Bid $62
  8. Welcome! The 4* hotels in Cambridge should be near the subway lines, so you'll be about 30 minutes from the Back Bay. Driving in the city isn't recommended unless you absolutely need a vehicle. That being said, parking is not cheap at most Boston Hotels ($25+ per day). For this thread, we'll focus on 7/17 - 7/19. Please create a new thread to address 7/20 - 7/22. To start, how much is the most you are looking to spend (before taxes)?
  9. The name your own price section of Priceline? Yes... that's why this board exists. If you would like assistance, please provide us with the details of your trip (flight dates/cities/your budget).
  10. You do understand that Priceline offers 3* hotels in Warwick and isn't a free rebid area for Providence? If you are willing to stay there, you may want to try the following: Select 3* Providence Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone 1... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone 2... Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously Select 3* Warwick Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone 1... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone 2... Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously Select 3* Providence and Warwick Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone 1... Bid $75
  11. What is the most you are looking to spend? What is your back-up if you aren't successful?
  12. Nantucket is served by a ferry from Hyannis. There is a high-speed ferry (1hr travel time) or a regular ferry (2hr 15min). You could do a 'day trip' to the island and stay in Hyannis for much less. One option is the SeaCoast Inn in Hyannis, only a few blocks from the Ferry and rates under $138.
  13. They have reduced the waiting time to 24 hours. So after that time period, you can try the following: Select 4* Downtown... Bid $110, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $115, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $120, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $125, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before Select 4* Copley... Bid $110, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $115, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $120, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $125, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before Select 4* Downtown and Copley... Bid $130, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $135, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $140, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $145
  14. For your Nantucket stay, you will want to create another thread to address that portion of your trip. For the 4* level in Boston, you have 3 rebid areas. To learn how to find them, please read PRICELINE REBIDDING. Once you've done so you should be able to locate all 3 areas which lack a 4* hotel. If you have questions, please ask before bidding. Once you've found them, you may want to try the following: Select 4* Downtown... Bid $85, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $90, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $95, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $100, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before Select 4* Copley... Bid $85, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $90, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $95, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $100, if unsuccessful close browser and re-access priceline as you did before Select 4* Downtown and Copley... Bid $105, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 1... Bid $110, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 2... Bid $115, if unsuccessful add re-bid area 3... Bid $120 If this doesn't work, let us know and we'll adjust it closer to your maximum.
  15. As my pm suggests, take a look at How to find priceline rebid areas. This will tell you how to locate rebid areas for a city. In this case, there is one area that only goes up to 2* so it would be a rebid area for the 2.5* level. Once you locate it, please post its name to make sure you understand this process.
  16. Just in time for the Summer season, the following website has a google map with information on Rhode Island Beaches: http://www.projo.com/summer/beachmap/snebeaches.htm
  17. Welcome! Was this your first bid? If not, what was your previous bid amount?
  18. I'd consider downtown before 3* Cambridge. The subway doesn't cover the Western sections of Cambridge, where the Hyatt and Radisson are located. I'd also look into the 4* Airport level, as the Hilton Logan & Hyatt Harborside are typically lower than downtown & copley area hotels.
  19. You may want to give the following a try. The 2.5* level has 1 free rebid area, if you need help finding it, please ask before bidding. 2.5* Manchester - Vernon Bid $37, if unsuccessful add rebid area 1... Bid $41 If this doesn't work, you can try a little higher in 24 hours.
  20. If you are travelling to UConn, Manchester/Vernon should meet your requirements, as it is closer to Storrs.
  21. Right now it looks like it'll take somewhere in the mid to upper 100s to be successful at the 4* level for your dates. If you would like further assistance, let us know.
  22. Rates aren't cheap for your nights. You have the right idea with your rebid areas for the 3* level, but you'll need to increase your amounts next time around. Just for comparison, Hotwire is showing a 3* Condo in Newport for $195/night. * Near Beach * 1-Bedroom Suite * Kitchenette * Pool(s) * Free Parking * Front Desk * Laundry Facilities
