  1. FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  2. I was very disappointed with this hotel assignment because it listed it as a 3 star with a 95% hotwire recommended rating but if you click on Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort on their listed hotels link it shows it as just an 85% hotwire review recommended rating. Felt like a bait and switch but of course calling HOTWIRE to complain was a waste of time. Complimentary: Free InternetFree parking Amenities Business centerFitness centerPool(s)ResortRestaurant(s)Smoke-free rooms 95% recommended (616) Amazing! Bed choice available
  3. We already have a reservation at the Howard Johnson Anaheim for most of the week under their 50% off super saver rate but we needed one more night to complete our week so we decided to switch hotels for the last night since it was cheaper than paying HOJO full rate. We are happy with this win since it's our last night there so we don't need a hotel within walking distance to Disneyland on the last night before we go home. We tried priceline up to $80 for 3.5 star and were declined so we gave up and went for Hotwire. There is a convention going on there that week so hotels are filling up fast. This Marriott actually says sold out for this date on their actual site even though I was still able to get it on hotwire. Amenities: suite, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, roll in shower, handicap parking, accessible blind and deaf, super savings, recommended in 95% of hotwire reviews.
  4. It might have gone lower if I had waited closer to my date but I wanted to take advantage of the $10 bonus cash emailed today so I went ahead and bid $75 plus $10 bonus and got the Hyatt Newport Beach hotel. The regular rate on priceline is $139 so it's a decent savings. Looks like parking is $20 per day but that is common for 4 star hotels in Orange County. I had tried to bid $80 earlier when they emailed me bonus cash and was denied so I know this is about as low as it will go right now.
  5. Scored this win for a quick one night stay on our way to Utah. Regular price was $129 so I am very happy with this win.
  6. This was my first time using Hotwire because I usually use Priceline since the deals are usually better with them. I was afraid to use priceline since the cheapest 3 star on there was The Palmdale Hotel (which I did NOT want to win) and my experience has been I always win the cheapest one listed when I bid. I decided to pay more by going with Hotwire because the 3 star listed said it was recommended in 100% of Hotwire Customer Reviews so I knew it wasn't the Palmdale Hotel which ranks pretty low in reviews on priceline. This area has very few posted wins that aren't recent so I really had to gamble with this one. I am very happy with the win since The Holiday Inn rate is $100 on other sites. It was listed as SUPER SAVINGS ($105 other sites) if that helps anyone. It also was listed just as Palmdale area hotel. Amenities listed were -Free Parking, Free internet, Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, Fitness Center, Accessible for blind & deaf Rate per night:$57.00 Nights:2 Rooms:1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $19.89 Subtotal:$133.89 Trip total:$133.89
  7. I decided to add a day onto my vacation when I saw that Priceline was offering their bonus cash offer today. So I bid $53 plus $7 bonus cash for a total bid of $60 a night for a 3 star hotel in Valencia. I ended up getting a 3.5 star instead which was a nice surprise. I already booked a night on priceline for 5/6-5/7 so we could visit Six Flags on our way to Disneyland. We had won the Hilton at that time as I posted earlier last month. I tried for a 3 star hoping to get the Hilton again so we wouldn't have to change hotels but I really don't mind having to change hotels since we aren't staying long in Valencia anyway.
  8. I have been trying to bid on this area for awhile now and no luck. I finally got the hotel I wanted for $65 plus I used $5 bonus cash so it was really $70 winning bid.
  9. I used $20 bonus cash from my Entertainment Book which added $6.67 to my bid per day bringing the winning bid really to $50 per day. Total with fees:$160.38 ($44 X 3 nights = $132 plus $28.38 taxes) This was not the hotel I was hoping for since the reviews seemed very mixed but I'm happy that it is within walking distance. For the price, I'm sure it will be just fine.
  10. After trying for weeks to get a good price in S.F. for a 12k race on Sunday I finally got success the day before the trip. I just cancelled my back-up reservation after winning this deal. $83 plus fees $20.60 =$103.60
  11. I am piecing my trip together day by day since I have not been successful at winning bids for two consectutive days at a good rate. I won 4* Marriott Marquis for $140 on 7/24 but bids up to $200 are rejected for 7/25. So, I booked directly thru hotel a few months back with their govt. rate ($224) for the whole week 7/22-7/30 and I'm slowing cancelling certain dates as I win them on priceline. I won Marriott Marquis 7/28 for $175 last month but all my other dates are still too high on bidding. I may have to change hotels but that's O.K. when I can stay for $140 it's worth it! I'll post the rest of my trip as I win it (if it ever gets below $200).
  12. Bummed it was Outrigger instead of Sheraton. Not a good win since Outrigger published rate is $199 a night but these dates seem to be filling up quickly and this property is right on beach so at least $50 was saved. Tried to extend one more day but was rejected.
  13. My sister decided to be the guinea pig in group and bid on priceline for one more day on 11/6-11/7. Her bid went all the way up to $150 and she got Outrigger Waikiki Beach. I guess it's almost always going to be different hotel if the price is different. It would not let her extend for one more night at same rate either. So, I'll just wait to book the rest of my stay which is almost for sure going to be different hotel. I did book a back up hotel that can be cancelled in case bidding doesn't get any cheaper. I guess most hotels are near selling out for that week because of date 11/11/11 is a popular date for people to get married? Most hotels are sold out on 11/10/11 so I think this may be the best win we'll see for these dates.
  14. I started bidding last week and started at $85. I finally won yesterday for $115 (3 nights) Sheraton Waikiki Resort for 11/3-11/6 My large family is also traveling with us so as soon as I won I called them to book same dates and they also (2 other families) won the same hotel for these dates at same rate. I know it's really early to be booking but I saw these dates were filling up quickly and didn't want to risk it getting more expensive. I only booked 3 nights of my vacation so that I could make sure it was the hotel I wanted and then I was planning to just extend it for an additional 3 nights. I tried to extend at same rate after I won for 11/6-11/9 but was rejected. I was really hoping fo the Sheraton because I did not want the Marriott or Outrigger so I was very happy with my winning bid since it was the Sheraton. I haven't seen any winning posts lately below $110 for the Sheraton so this is a great rate for booking so far out. Now I just have to watch and wait for the rest of my trip and hope I can win the same hotel.
  15. Bid accepted at $175 I tried $170 two days before and it was rejected. Lowest price on their site is $224 but only for govt. employee so this is a great rate.
  16. It says it's $75 a night on priceline.com but after bidding, I got it for $35 night for 1/21/11-1/22/11 I got Holiday Inn University of Central FL ( Orlando Downtown-Winter Park)
