  1. I thought I posted this when I won the bid, but must not have as it's not in the hotel list. This was during the big Air Show in Oshkosh and we couldn't get a bid anywhere in Milwaukee until this popped up. Very nice hotel with a great free breakfast. Starting your bid at West Bend even gets you some re-bidding opportunities. Country Inn And Suites By Carlson West Bend 2000 Gateway Court West Bend, Wisconsin 53095 262-334-9400 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00 Subtotal: $200.00 Taxes & Fees: $36.68 Total Charges*: $236.68
  2. We stay at this hotel a lot. Very nice. Happy with this at this price. I noticed that high speed internet is now included in the room rate. It's about time... Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes & Fees: $21.34 Total Charges*: $111.34
  3. The DWV Hilton is sold out on your first night, the 22nd. The 23rd, 24th, 25th are available @ $108 per night I think. A bid of $60 - $65 at the Resort level might get you a win for those three days, then you could do a seperate bid for the first night ... The Hilton is a nice win at those prices if you win the bid. Parking is $10/day and I don't remember paying a resort fee. It's walking distance to Downtown Disney and they have shuttles to the parks.
  4. Today - 02/19/2010 - there is a 2.5* hotel on Hotwire for your dates at $69. 2.5-star hotel in Florida City - Homestead This hotel features the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Kitchenette As far as your 2* goes, I would avoid any Hotel which is only recommended by 50% of the reviewers. There are always other options, like this 2.5* perhaps... Good luck!
  5. Great deal at a really nice Sheraton... less than $100 for the weekend! Lots of nice hotels in Milwaukee NW suburbs. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $40.00 Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes & Fees: $19.44 Total Charges*: $99.44 Used the PRICELINE links...
  6. I've never won a Priceline bid in Key West, but have stayed there a number of times. We're just there the wrong time of year. Two of the 3* hotels on the board's Hotel List - Key West have changed star levels. The Holiday Inn is now a 2* and the Marriott Beachside is now a 4* (Can you verify that is correct thereuare?) That makes bidding a little easier as you are left with three 3* hotels and two 4* (plus any that have yet to be reported to the board). At the 3* level, the Doubletree Grand Key Resort and Sheraton Suites are too far from Duval to walk, but I believe each has a shuttle to the Duval Area that runs frequently. You'll want to phone and verify that before bidding. At the 4* level, the Marriott Beachside is also too far from Duval to walk, and I think they also have a shuttle service. Trip Advisor has a map of the hotels in Key West that may be helpful. We've stayed at the Doubletree the last couple of years and use the Shuttle service and leave our car in the hotel parking lot.
  7. Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Brookfield - New Berlin 375 South Moorland Rd Brookfield, Wisconsin 53005 262-786-1100 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $48.00 Subtotal: $192.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $37.18 Total Charges*: $229.18 Two rooms, two nights. With 8 rebids per day in Brookfield zone at 3.5*'s, it's pretty easy to bid. Last rejected bid $47. This is a weekday stay, with the Brewers playing home games both days, so very happy at this price and quality level. Used the handy PRICELINE "bidding box" at betterbidding!
  8. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $53.00 Subtotal: $159.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $29.60 Total Charges*: $188.60 Last rejected bid $51
  9. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00 Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $19.79 Total Charges*: $119.79 First bid... Botched the headers... sorry
  10. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $220.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $38.71 Total Charges*: $258.71 Last rejected bid $53
  11. I made a mistake reporting this as a 3*, it's still a 2.5*. Sorry... I must have been half asleep when I posted this. Looking at "My Trips" on Priceline, and it clearly shows I bid multiple times at the 2.5* level.
  12. Happy with this win, but suprised the first bid was a winner... couldn't have left much on the table though. This is a really nice rate for this hotel. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $135.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $26.34 Total Charges*: $161.34 It is so much easier to do multiple bids using the link in the PRICELINE box on your web site, I'm kind of disappointed I didn't need the re-bids this time. I just "sign-in" to PRICELINE in another window which I minimize and leave open. Then after entering my dates, city and number of rooms on your web site, I start each bid by clicking on the "GO" button - very slick! Thanks again!
  13. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00 Subtotal: $150.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $27.69 Total Charges*: $177.69 Bids of $45 and $47 were not accepted. Negotiated the bid using the PRICELINE links at BB...

  17. When Priceline added 4* hotels in this zone they seem to have created some confusion as to the star rating of some properties. People are bidding at the 4* level when in fact they would like to get a resort such as the Hilton or the Omni. For example these recent posts: Priceline Omni Priceline Omni Champions Gate Priceline Hilton in the Walt Disney World Resort were all looking for a resort property but bid for a 4*. Two of them received the resort level they really wanted and perhaps that is part of the reason for the misunderstanding. Thereuare, can you add this 4* to the Priceline Hotel List - Florida? Maybe that would make it more clear that there are actually 4* hotels in this zone. The Priceline retail product also includes a 4* in this zone called the Mona Lisa Suite Hotel that may show up in the future. It looks intriguing. Thanks!
  18. Best web site rate was $89. Since there are no free rebids in Milwaukee, and based on past wins, I assumed a 50% off rate would again win. It did... Two rooms @ $45 = $90 + taxes and fees $20.86, total $110.86. Very good deal for a "new" hotel with free internet included. Started the bid off the links on this page...
  19. That's my question also... I always get the Hilton when I bid resort in this zone... and have been happy with it at $60-$65 or so. I just checked and the Hilton shows "no availability" for your dates which probably removes that obstacle... if they are truly sold out, it would seem there is no way you should win a Hilton priceline bid for said dates. If I were you I'd put a bid in today and see what happens! Good luck...
  20. I've been trying to get this hotel on a PRICELINE bid since it opened in April (PL added 3* bidding in this zone at the same time). There are no free rebids in Milwaukee at the 3* level so you have to plan ahead. This is thanksgiving holiday and the regular rate at the hotel is only $85 so I kind of expected to get a win at $42, and was pretty close. 2 rooms, 2 nights $172 taxes and fees $33.72 total $ 205.72 I noticed the following star level changes on PRICELINE in the Milwaukee area: 3.5* Hyatt Regency (Downtown) 3.5* Hilton (Downtown) 3.5* Marriott Milwaukee West (Pewaukee) 3* Courtyard (Brookfield - New Berlin) 3* Courtyard (Downtown) 3* Courtyard Brown Deer (Milw North) - not yet reported but I bet it will be soon as a 3*... Sorry, I left the zone off the topic. It should be ---> Milwaukee (Northwest)
  21. The Marriott Madison West has been changed from a 3* to a 3.5*. Since there are 5 priceline zones currently in Madson, it makes it pretty easy to get this hotel if one chooses to bid for it. I started at $48 and needed only 3 of the 15 available rebids to hit at $51. Two rooms $102, taxes and fees of $22.70, total $124.70. I noticed that the Courtyard (Madison East) has been changed to a 3* as well.
  22. Turns out this is the newest hotel in Green Bay. We're happy with it so decided to add a couple of days. The hotel's rate for 5/29 is $99 with 5/30 at $129. I tried another $50 bid (matching my 5/28 winning bid) but "The Negotiator" turned me down with a counter offer of + $14. Instead, I submitted a new bid of $55 which was accepted. The details... Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $22.24 Total Charges*: $132.24 I tried using the links on this site, however the city did not carry over to the Priceline page - instead it showed the last city I had bid on Priceline. Also, I miss the calendar when using the form on this site. For my second bid, I tried the Priceline "hotel" link on BetterBidding.com but that seemed awful slow - not something I'd want to use when I'm doing multiple bids where many free rebids exist. I guess I still find the old savings barn easier... Thanks for a great site!
  23. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00 Subtotal: $50.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.75 Total Charges*: $63.75 This was the first bid which included the Green Bay East zone. Prior bids of $40 and $45 were rejected for Green Bay Downtown using Kaukauna as a free rebid. The hotel rate for this night is $99. This is a new hotel in a new zone - Green Bay East - for betterbidding. Interestingly, Tripadvisor members rate this as the #1 hotel of 38 in Green Bay.
  24. That looks like a pretty good deal - $42.50 / night!
  25. The Holiday Inn Oceanfront is on EasyClickTravel travel at $56 for those dates. This hotel has mixed reviews -- but it is on the Ocean. I've had both good and bad stays here. But the price is right.
