  11. The family and I are going to San Juan for the Holidays; just browsed Hotwire and found the InterContinental for $126. I've previously booked a hotel room a couple of weeks ago for $168/per night, which I thought was a great price considering is peak season. Howeve,r $126.00 is an AWESOME price! :) My sisters are thrilled! Following are the details: Hotel 1 room(s) @ $126.00 per night x 4 nights $504.00 Taxes and Fees: $124.44 Hotel Subtotal: $628.44 Total Cost Some hotels may apply additional charges. $628.44 I used the SavingsBarn link. Thank you again for such a helpful site.
  12. Well, even though is early, I've decided to go ahead and make this purchase, only because is during New Year's Eve. Here are the details: Hotel: Intercontinental Hotel Rate: $168 (slightly less than earlier reported since I used Firefox) Taxes & Fees: $163.86 Total: $835.86 We'll also get another $10 off since we have an Entertainment Card; a little savings, but nevertheless, $10 less, enough for a nice cold tropical drink! :) As always, I used the Savingsbarn link. Thank you for such a wonderful and informative site. Best Regards and Many Happy Travels!!
  13. Hello thereuare, Yes, you are right; the missing amenity icon is: business center. Thank you!
  14. Hello! It is quite early for this booking given the history of the San Juan hotel inventory. However, I am responsible for the accomodations of our family trip to San Juan, and just took a peek in Hotwire. We plan to stay in San Juan from December 29th thru Jan 2, 2007. Is this the Intercontinental Hotel? It is currently listed for $170. If so, how does this rate fares for this time of year? Amenities are as follows: Customer Favorite, Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Spa Services, Tennis Nearby Thank you as always for your help! :-)
  15. I got my bid accepted on the first try. I have been trying for months off and on, and finally my bid was accepted today. I consider the rate a good one considering the time of year. The best rate that I could find was with Alamo at a total rate of $304.16 including taxes (rate code of 'ORLESS'). This is my first rental with Priceline and I hope that the car rental company does not add additional taxes. Details are as follows: Rental Company: National Car Rental Pick-up At: Kahului Arpt Date: January 5, 2006 @ 12PM Drop-Off At: Kahului Arpt Date: January 12, 2006 @4:30pm Total Days: 8 Days Your Offer Price: $20.00 Total Rental Days: 8 Subtotal: $160.00 Taxes & Fees: $62.76 Total Charges: $222.76 Thank you, and many Happy Travels! :)
  16. Hello Belgo, I was doing an inquiry at Marriott.com and noticed that the rate drops to $234 (for your dates) for a partial ocean view room with a corporate rate code of 'M11', which means that you will need to supply your Marriott Rewards' number. Best of luck in your search! Happy Travels! PNK :-)
  17. thereuare: I've just realized I made a mistake on the header of the post, and I can't updated; the header should read ' Resort' and not 3*; the 3.5* is the way that Hotwire and Expedia have the property categorized. I just want to make sure the hotel list gets updated properly. Thank you!
  18. Got a winning bid on first attempt: Zone: Key West Priceline Category: Resort Zone Bid: $100.00 I could have done a bit better, but no much time left since we are leaving on Thursday; however, the rate is much better than the hotel's web site of $197 (non-refundable) plus resort fee of $15.61 The breakdown is as follows: Your Offer Price: $100.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $20.23 Total Charges: $120.23 Thank you again! p.s. (I used the savingsbarn.com link to place the bid)
  19. Hello and thank you for the welcome! The Fort Lauderdale dates are: Saturday, July 2nd thru July 5th (check-out date); the Priceline rating is 4*. In terms of the South Beach stay, I will open another post (the dates will be Thursday, June 30th thru July 2nd). Thank you again. It is greatly appreciated. BTW, I found your site early this year while researching a Hawaiian vacation for late December; I'll been posting regarding those dates as well; I have reservations already; however, if I could save a few $$s the more money towards spa services! yippee! :)
  20. First of all a big thank you to All that posts here, and many thanks to Thereuare! Due to Last minute change of plans, required me to look for a hotel during the upcoming July 4th weekend. It is greatly appreciated. Now, hubby wants to stay closer to South Beach for 2 days prior to the 4th. Let's see if I have the same luck! Best Always, and many happy travels! p.s. it is funny everytime I get a winning bid in Priceline, it feels as I have won the lottery. Here's the breakdown: Your Offer Price: $92.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $276.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $42.83 Total Charges: $318.83
