  1.  In searching for a hotel in the Buena Park area, I noticed that there is a category for Buena Park and another category for Buena Park Knottsberry farm. Your  listings of hotels in the area only list  One category for the Buena Park area.  Do you think this is just a recent change? Is there any data on Hotel wins in these specific areas? If I buy how do I report?

  4. Sorry, don't know why I always forget to add dates! This was April 21, 2013-April 24 2013.

This was a very nice, clean hotel. Never used pool or restaurant. But it was a good hotel.

Also, in reply to your post, the Raddison Suites I was hoping is right next to Midieval Times. They have really nice Suites. The Knotts Berry Farm Resort is right on the Knotts property, a little farther away from my destination, but it worked out.

    Thanks

  5. I guessed that this was the hotel. I am a bit leary, as some reviews have complained about their service to hotwire users. I called immediately to request two beds, since I am traveling with my teenagers and a King size bed would be tough. I also called before booking to several of these hotels in the area and they ALL charge parking fees of $15. I received a coupon from hotwire in my email for $20 off, so my total for 2 nights was actually $123.01 with tax.

    Here is the list:

    Indoor pool(s)

    Smoke Free Rooms

    Fitness Center

    Pool(s)

    Restaurant(s)

    Business Center

    Laundry Facilities (self-service)

    High-Speed Internet Access

    Accessible for the blind

    Accessible for the deaf

    Accessible path of travel

    In-room accessibility

    Accessible bathroom

    Handicapped parking

    Roll-in shower

  6. I was fooled! I thought for sure this was the Raddison Suites by Knotts Berry Farm, which I stayed in before and really liked!

But this sounds like a good hotel. I wasn't super careful reading the lists because I was thinking any 3* in the area would be good.

I called the hotel and they said no problem getting two queen beds. Also, there is a restaurant, but it isn't complementary. They did say that there are no additional resort or parking fees associated with this property, which I was glad! For the 3 nights the taxes and fees were $32. for a total of $217.91. If you book through the website, the same 3 nights would be $327 +tax. So HOTWIRE and Better Bidding rock again!

  7. Just got back from this trip and the Radisson Suites in Buena Park was a very nice hotel. There was a lot of room in both the bedroom and the living area. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good, buffet with eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, toast, cereal, and made to order omlets if you want. The happy hour with free drinks was a nice touch. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. The hotel was completely booked, but it didn't seem too crazy with people. The location is right by Knotts Berry Farm. I would go there again.

  8. I bid again on the next night, 8/25 and got it for $73. It wasn't available before when I bid on the 23rd and 24th. I have been watching it for several weeks and it seems like the prices were sort of creaping up, so I snagged it. Glad it was the same hotel! Thanks to Better Bidding for helping to navigate Hotwire with a little more knowledge. It was interesting that the taxes and fees for the two night stay was $24 and the taxes and fees for the one night was $19. I guess that is something you need to watch out for.

  9. I have noticed that the list for this 3* hotel is exactly the same as the Radisson Suites wins except that "suites" is not listed nor is "tennis nearby". Any ideas?

  10. :)

I checked out this hotel on the internet after I received my winning bid, and there is a bed bug alert!!!!! I called priceline to ask if there is anything I can do and they said they would have customer service work on this for me. I called the hotel and the front desk clerk did verify they had had a problem "in the past" I asked if it was "recent past" since the reports were from Sept '10, and she confirmed that they did have a few rooms that had some and that they are closed down for months and fumigated etc. Has this happened to anyone else? I hear this has become a problem at even nicer hotels. I will let you know how it turns out.

  11. This is my first time using Priceline. I was really glad to find this site. I was a little disappointed with this win since some other people got 4*'s recently for $105 in this area, but the reviews are really great for this hotel so I think it will be perfect. I started bidding way down at $70 and kept adding. PL said they would take my 4* bid for $124, but I really wanted to stay lower.

Thanks for all of the tips!

Question: When travelling with daughter, is there any way to request 2 beds on pl or do you just get whatever? I called the hotel and we have a king, which will be ok, but I would rather have 2 beds.
