  1. Hrm, this hotel is not listed under downtown in the list. Did you end up with this from the downtown zone? Thanks
  2. That's just 5 minutes from my house, it used to be the Sword & Shield strip club and they turned it into a Days Inn, thats why it's so inexpensive I think :) Good to hear that its nice and clean
  3. Damn I've tried to land a win at this location a bunch of times, never works out in my favor.
  4. Hey all, got this new years eve hotel on the first bid at $80 and was accepted right away. A little high for my starting bid I know, but I was worried everything would be booked up. Still much cheaper than the $139 sticker price if you went via the website.. I have stayed at this property before and quite like it, so I am happy, and remember to become one of their point collectors (its free) and it will come with free 2PM checkout every time you stay at a Holiday Inn! Merry Christmas!
  5. Just won a hotel for tonight, $45 seems to be the sweet spot when dealing with 3* hotels in the YYZ area, I need to make a mental note. Accepted on the first try. Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport 970 Dixon Rd. It's a good location, I've stayed here before, $15 a night parking though is kind of annoying cheers!
  6. Forgot to post this at the time, but I won a stay at the Radisson on Dixon Road (Airport) for $45 on Priceline. November 2nd-November 3rd. It was a very nice hotel, one of my better wins by far. As always, I used the PRICELINE link on this forum to complete the bids
  7. That Holiday Inn Mississauga is in the wrong section! I was trying to get more bids in for the Mississauga area by adding Oakville/Mississauga South for 3 stars (because there were no 3 stars listed, figured it would just give me more chances to get a 3 star in Mississauga) and I got stuck with that one in bold! Please move that 3 star hotel to Oakville-Mississauga South so no unfortunate person gets stuck the way I did. It's in the middle of friggin nowhere :)
  8. I wonder how much these rooms were selling for via the website.. Probably almost 200 bucks.. Let us know how your stay was
  9. Well I just got here and checked in. Room is fine, bed is huge, but $14 for parking! WTF! :)
  10. Hey folks, was bidding on 3 star hotels for Thursday for over 3 days now and was trying to keep the price below $50 for nothing less than 3 star. Finally got accepted through fiddling around with hot zones that would never be accepted (downtown toronto) while increasing previous zones dollar at a time. Finally accepted at $46. I generally haven't stayed at many of these Holiday Inn's, but the location seems quite good and I'm heading to check in in about 1 hour 3* Toronto (Airport YYZ East) Holiday Inn 970 Dixon Rd Purchased using the PRICELINE referral links from this forum, as always. Cheers!
  11. Nothing above 2 stars in Belleville and this seems to have the highest amount of favorable reviews judging by the reviews on Google, So I guess I'm fortunate.. Their website indicates starting fees at $129 for that date, so sounds like a decent deal. I used the PRICELINE link via this website for my booking. Cheers!
  12. Forgot to make this post at the time 2 days ago, but I got a stay at the Doubletreee by Hilton near the Airport for $55 via PRICELINE. Bid of $55 accepted instantly, on the first try, which is incredibly unusual with my previous experiences with PRICELINE. However, don't let the 3* rating fool you, I've had way better experiences at most 2 & 1/2* places nearby. The rooms are tiny, bathrooms a mess, and the AC system is a joke. Shocking because the building appears so nice from the street and in the lobby. Sorry if my topic syntax is wrong, I'm new here. cheers
  13. I just stayed here last week, and couldn't get any free wifi. I ended up stealing signal from Williams Coffee House which was just barely within range... The other access points wanted $14.95 a day.. Weird. $15 nightly parking fee is what made me bitter about this place. And the room's mini fridge was broken.
  14. Thanks man! I just checked in now. Where can I express my disapproval for the $15 parking though. Bah! And the mini-fridge appears to be broken.. Not a huge deal I guess, but I'm debating about calling front desk about it since I was hoping to keep my beers in it.. Maybe I'll just fill the sink with ice :) great site and thanks for the help getting around so far Aaron, I made sure I signed up with your referral links! I will definitely be a frequent user on the site :) Cheers!
  15. I just got the same hotel but at $40.. Still seems like a good deal. wish I had've read this thread first and tried $36, but what's 4 bucks, right.. Is parking free?? I sure hope so August 31st (tonight) - Tomorrow (Sept. 1st) Hope there's some good bars in the area! I feel like getting drunk :)
  16. Hi folks, new user here. But does that mean ALL hotels require additional parking fees? I have been using hotels.ca to book rooms for me and the girlfriend, at least 3 in the last month and are looking for another one tonight. Parking has always been included so far. Was thinking of trying priceline for the first time tonight but these comments about requiring parking fees do not leave me optomistic..
