  1. Wow, sorry about all the mispell's in my first post. Must have been in a hurry. The hotel provides valet parking for $30.00 a day, unlimited in/out. Self parking is $22.00 per day and if you leave and return...another 22 bucks! I emailed the hotel and they sent me a map of local area parking. I will see what I can find cheaper or else I will be stuck with the 30 bucks per night. Anyhow, it was nice to get a response from the hotel with my question about parking. Service so far is great.
  2. Been bidding a few weeks for a 4 star in downtown Montreal. Was hoping to get it for 80-90 U.S. per night, but was never succesful. Bid the 4 area combo's per day with the starting bid 80, 82, 86, the 90. Getting to close so trip so upped my last bid to 99 and got Interconntinental. This was going to be my last try before booking a room at canlewood suites on my own. Parking is OUCH :) at this hotel so I am looking at alternatives. Hoping I can find someplace close with free wi-fi, not sure it hotel provides it or not. Hope this helps.
  3. Lynn, I have done lots of searching, and though my needs may be dfferent than yours, I may end up just booking a room with candlewood suites. It is older, but very clean and nice location. I have not stayed there, just going on the reviews I have read. If you prebook with no chance of refund, you can get it for a little over 100 bucks U.S., tax not included. I am like you in that I don't want to bid for a 3 star and end up with something really bad. Plenty of them out there in Montreal that would SUCK. So I may end up spending 50 bucks more for a 2.5 star, but it will be CLEAN, SAFE, and centrally located. Those are the important things for me. Pool and such is not important. The Candlewood suites are actually equiped nicely with a kithenett. I think you can book it thru priceline, but not by the bidding, just outright purchase. Good luck...Tetz
  4. I think I mispoke. I think you were right with the hotel ID. Another member got that hotel for 55 per night which looks like a great deal. It is currently listed at 89 bucks per night for my time period, so I am going to watch it and see if it drops for me as the dates get closer. GL
  5. I am new to this, but I don't think it is the Holiday Inn Express. TA shows an 85% and 2.5 star hotel rating. Looks like only ammenity is wireless on the 59 dollar room. I am going to keep searching....
  6. Hi Lynn, Please keep us updated on your luck with your bids. I am in Montreal the follwoing week and I too am looking at a 4 star downtown. So far have only bid up to 87 us dollars, and all zones were rejected. I think we both have some time yet to get a downtown room for under 100 dollars, so keep trying and again keep us updated. Last, not sure if you say this post by Jerry: "Monday 9/6 ~ Tuesday 9/7 Bid up to $85 for 4* and rejected. $85 for 3.5* - rejected $90 for 4* rejected. $95 acceptted. He got the Hyatt for 95 and that is a very nice place/deal. Mall is attached and very much to do within walking. Parking is expensive and I suspect they charge for wi-fi? Tetz
