  1. It does have the same amenities as the Alladin, but is the Alladin in the North Strip zone? I know the Hotwire list shows it to be there, but what is the dividing line between the zones - Harmon Avenue? I had thought it to be Flamingo, but looking at the Hotwire map it doesn't look that way. If the Alladin is in the North Strip zone, it must be right on the border.

  2. Those dates are really not that far away and considering that is a weekend I would not wait to bid. What are the amenities of the hotels coming up for those dates on Priceline? What star rating are you going for and what is your maximum bid? Priceline is another option, although you are not getting a guarantee for the number of beds you require (I'm assuming two) Would you considering staying in any other areas close to Southfield?

  3. Do you think this property might be the 3rd one? Paniolo Greens Resort 68-1845 Waikoloa Road, Waikoloa,

Hotel features:2 Bedroom Suite, Fully-equipped Kitchen, Kitchenette, Pool(s), Air-Conditioning, Washer and Dryer in Room, Fitness Center, Free Parking, Front Desk, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Laundry Facilities (self-service) Description: Paniolo Greens is located in Waikoloa Village with spectacular ocean and mountain views. Units are fully appointed condos. The resort borders Waikoloa Country Club (where guests enjoy golf privileges) and Waikoloa Village Shopping Center. It's an easy drive to the Kohala Coast and all of Hawaii's attractions - including beaches and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

I obtained this information doing a package search. Amenities seem to match, looks to be in the same area.

  4. I think what you are seeing is the 2* Homestead San Diego Mira Mesa Amenities: Kitchenette, Laundry

This was taken from the Hotwire Hotel Lists - California in the lower section where information has been obtained doing a package search. I have done my own package search for your dates and come up with the same results:

Homestead San Diego Mira Mesa 9880 Pacific Heights Boulevard, San Diego, California - same amenities

The Homestead site refers to this hotel as: Homestead Studio Suites San Diego - Sorrento Mesa

Direct rates for your dates are $113.99 per night Studio Suite - one Queen Bed (lowest price room)

Looks like a pretty good deal - Hope this helps out :)

  5. While this hotel wasn't listed on the Washington Hotwire Hotel List This one seems to be a close match:

Marriott Residence Inn Seattle Downtown Lake Union 800 FAIRVIEW AVE N Seattle, WA 98109 Description:

This AAA Three-Diamond Residence Inn is located one mile from downtown Seattle and 15 miles from Seattle Tacoma International Airport.

Health facilities include pool, sauna, whirlpool, and workout room. Every morning, a complimentary breakfast is served. There is also a weekly evening reception with catering from local restaurants. The hotel has laundry facilities, room service, safety deposit boxes, and parking for a fee.

All rooms have complimentary high-speed Internet access, work desks, voicemail, dataports, cable TV with in-room movies, weekday newspaper delivery, full kitchens, complimentary in-room coffee, irons, and hairdryers. (Information from Travelocity search)

I also did a Hotwire Package search which came up empty for the star rating and amenities.

  6. I think the only problem you have here is with the first night of your stay, availablilty (checking Hotwire) seems to be there for the 22nd & 23rd. After you decide on what area you would like to bid for, the experts here can provide you with a bidding strategy. As Scorp said, it's probably best to first get a cancellable reservation for the entire stay. If you are successful with a Priceline bid for the second and third nights, you may be able to add the first night to the stay (rooms may open up closer to the date) If not you would still have one night from your cancellable reservation (which you can change to just one night - 21st) I know you probably don't want to change hotels, but this would give you a 4* for two nights. Better yet, if you could move back your arrival to the 22nd (and departure to the 25th) that may work out evevn better. If you are flying and already have tickets, this wouldn't work so well unless you can change your ticket without a big penalty. Good Luck!

  7. There is a convention going on that goes through the 29th, perhaps some attendees are not leaving until the 29th and some are staying over longer. This is the convention:The Wireless Association Wireless I.T. & Entertainment 2005 Tuesday, 9/27/2005 through Thursday, 9/29/2005 Attendance: 13000

Maybe if you split your bid, go for the 30 or the 31st to the 4th and look for the other dates in other areas or try to fill those dates later. Are your plans firm?

  8. If they truly did upgrade the Holiday Inn to 3*, it could be the same as seen with the amenities that have been listed. It would seem to be a match to the hotel list, except for the rating. I noticed when looking at this property with a search to the hotel website (ICH) they do list high speed internet. Would Hotwire not list this along with the other amenities? I have not seen the Holiday Inn come up in any of the package searches I've done, nor have I seen a 3* with those amenities appear. My take, 50-50 chance on this one.

  9. Bid this for some friends, they wanted to spend about $35 max (before taxes & fees)

Decided to try for a *2 1/2 starting at $25 Location didn't matter too much, close to the cities or south.

    1) Roseville, $25 rejected 2) Eagan, $27 rejected 3) Mpls SW, $28 rejected 4) Airport/MOA, $29 rejected

    5) Mpls NW, $30 rejected 6) Univ-Metrodome, $32 Accepted!

Your Offer Price: $32.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1

Subtotal: $32.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $10.99 Total Charges: $42.99

Great place, great rate! I really like Hampton Inns (they serve a great breakfast) and the rooms aren't bad either. I think the friends will like it, the location isn't bad and not far from the Airport/MOA

This property looks to have been upgraded since last reported, looks like Priceline is catching on to how nice these Hampton Inns really are. We loved the one we stayed at in Pennsylvania, wonder if it's still a 2*?

  10. There doesn't seem to be too much going on (convention wise) during your dates, you should be able to a decent rate for a 3* or 4* with Priceline. Have you decided what area you would like to stay in? Check out recent winning bids and you get an idea of what price range you may be looking at - Priceline San Francisco

Also check out the - San Francisco Priceline Hotel List and price through the usual sources (Expedia, etc) for the going rates and availability. I think thereuare can advise you on a strategy when you decide which location(s) are favorable.

  11. Doing a package search has come up with these amenities for Omni Orlando Resort, Disney Main Gate - Champions Gate: Resort, Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service)

If you view complete amenity list and description on the hotel search, you will see the Laundry Facilities

Looks like a match to me. Good luck on your bidding!
