Was not successful on PRICELINE bidding for a 4* hotel bidding on all central Manhattan areas at $150/night. Looked at the PRICELINE EXPRESS options and checked Better Bidding to identify the possible hotels. We are very happy with the outcome :) . Entered PRICELINE through the BB portal. Amenities: Pets allowed, free internet, Business Center, fitness centre

I started at $90 and kept adding areas (none of which had 4 star hotels) and ended at $95. I entered PRICELINE through the Better Bidding portal.

I had abandoned hope on Hotwire and was bidding $71 - $75 every night on Price Line hoping to get the OMNI. Well guess what - tonight I bid $75 on Priceline and won 4* San Diego (Gaslamp Quarter-Convention Center) Westgate Hotel, $75 January 21, 2011 - January 23, 2011. I used the Better Bidding link to PRICELINE.

The post is gone now - it was not there last night either (when I first posted) but it was there earlier today.

This is a 2 night stay - and noted that Kutcowboy was successful at $89 for 1/6/11 - 1/9/11. ( Amenities included: Smoke-free rooms, business center, fitness center, high-speed internet access, restaurant(s) and spa services. When I checked Hotwire, there is only 1 4* in the Gaslamp area at $103 with the same amenities. My budget is $100 plus taxes as there are other options. However, if it is highly likely this is the Westgate, I am prepared to proceed. I used the HOTWIRE link for my search.

I would like to stay at the Westgate hotel on January 21,22 2011. I noted someone posted a win with HOTWIRE. Please provide a strategy to win this hotel.

:) I bid $81, was rejected and bid $82 and was successful. I entered PRICELINE through the link at Betterbidding.

I booked the Courtyard by Marriott Marina Del Rey through the Better Bidding PRICELINE link for 9/10 and 9/11 for $85 per night. This was the 3rd attempt - not successful at $75 and $81.
